After a bit of a hiatus we are back with 4th episode of Walking with Dinosaurs gijinka series: Giant of the Skies.

This episode starts out dull and melancholic with our main character being shown dead. Lower left is his lifeless corpse on the beach where he had wooed many females in the prime of his life.
We are first properly introduced to him on the Brazilian rocky cliffsides where other pterosaurs are mating. He is shown to dwarf all the Tapejara around him. On the right is him before he takes his episode long journey towards his mating grounds two continents and an ocean away.
We see him travel across land and sea every time the scenery changes.

The idea was that he's a muscular dude that's getting old. He wears a helmet that shields him from the elements as he flies and a massive wing suit to boot. Real challenging is to draw and work out how his wing membranes worked around his humanoid frame as an outfit. Since the pterosaur body shown in the episode looks a lot like a buff dude in a suit.
Of course now we call this genus Tropeognathus, and size estimates are nowhere near as large as shown in this episode.
