Look, you and I both know who inspired her and it’ll only become more obvious with the palette-swaps, so on to the story.

It’s not obvious to look at her, at least from our world, but in her own world, Kiera Guinness is a few hundred years in the future compared to us, and law enforcement has had to step up its equipment in the meantime. Yep, she’s a cop – a FUTURE cop – but things have been simultaneously hectic yet slow recently.

The GENS unit is meant to be an elite team for the city, and they’re trained and equipped for it, but ever since the alien superbeings started throwing their weight around, even they could only do so much. And both they and the rest of the police were basically sidelined by a new Tokusatsu force, of which Guinness’s buddy Maxine (remember her? :3) is a member.

It doesn’t get her down, this said. She does her best to help with the stuff she CAN deal with, and appreciates the help. And if worst comes to it, she can always enjoy the day off with her running, basketball, and overall just being the keetest policewoman you’ve ever seen. And she still trains daily to make sure that she’s able to keep the peace, being a bit of an expert with her GENS armor, complete with its personal shielding unit and a pair of psychic teleporters in the palms that let her transfer any piece of equipment she currently needs right into her hands, at will.

One could VERY rightly ask how exactly it is that a genuinely good cop could possibly be a mook, but there are those that have their ways, and the GENS unit, Guinness included, have their reasons. This said, at least they go non-lethal…

GUINNESS

--“Non-lethal” does NOT automatically equal “non-painful” and this futuristic officer has plenty of ways to demonstrate. With teleporters on her palms, a shielding unit on her chest, and elite police training to boot, taking her down will not be easy.

Fighting style:

--She’s quick, she’s well-equipped, and she knows how to take a punch… and stop bullets in their tracks. There is a reason you won’t be seeing her much until the late game - Guinness is a dangerous and versatile opponent with options for just about anything, and one of the few saving graces you have is that she’s not one for lethal force. Whether or not you can exploit this, you’ve got your work cut out for you and a head-on approach is likely your only option, unless…?

Attacks:

Special condition) Guinness and MOST of her alternates will actually try not to directly cause you to lose a life (one of her ‘attacks’ aside). If she knows an attack would cause more damage that you can withstand, she’ll refrain from using it. This said, this probably means you’re in danger of her unusual means of how she’ll cause you to lose a life.

A) Guinness will sweep-kick you, which knocks you over. You can jump over this, though it does moderate damage if it hits.

B) Guinness will attempt a multi-kick combo – snap-kick, spinning back-kick, high kick – moderate, high, heavy+knockdown damage in that order. She won’t necessarily use all three kicks.

C) Guinness will lunge at you with her knee out, stunning you if it hits and doing moderate damage.

D) Guinness can teleport weapons into her hands at will, with the following possibilities in play. Unless otherwise listed, she still has her remaining attacks in play as she’s carrying them.

D-1) Shock rod – you see it in the picture. She just swings it at you. Does moderate to heavy damage – look at the color of the sparks it gives off.

D-2) Pulse pistol – Guinness typically starts quick-stepping around, foregoing anything but her knee-kick otherwise. If you get in range, she’ll fire a shot that doesn’t travel instantly, but it travels fast, and causes you to collapse after a moment with heavy damage.

D-3) Riot grenade – Guinness throws a small explosive that explodes into a choking, debilitating gas that does no damage but stuns you for as long as you’re in the gas. Do not blunder into it if you weren’t caught to start with.

E) Guinness will run a few steps forward and suddenly disappear. She’ll reappear shortly thereafter, and if she’s behind you – and she ALWAYS tries to get behind you - she’ll grab you and suplex you into the ground for heavy damage, unless you’re at low enough health to trigger Attack G.

F) Attacking Guinness from the front with a melee weapon will just see her instantly counter by yanking it out of your hand and bodyslamming you for heavy damage. If you’re at low enough health to trigger Attack G, it instead leads to that.

G) If you’re at low enough health and you get close enough to Guinness, she’ll just grab you and fling you to the ground on your stomach, and proceed to restrain you with hard-light cuffs. If this happens, you’re out a life. She’ll also do this if you’re at that same threshold but on the ground for other reasons.

Shield) The thing on Guinness’s chest is a shielding unit. It automatically activates if you attempt to shoot at her or use any sort of projectile or shrapnel weapon from the front, completely negating the damage.

Grabbed from front) If grabbed from the front, Guinness will automatically turn her shield on to break your grip, shoving you back a few steps.

‘Icey’ is the most dangerous of the bunch. She didn’t get that memo about not using lethal force, and will simply take you out from normal brute force from her many attacks. She also has notably more health than the others and will ALWAYS keep her shock rod fully-powered if she’s using it.
