Description
Phew...it feels good to have a project finished that was on my to do list for quite some time and I had started on her but never had the time to finish her.
And I knew why: She took forever.
But I'm very pleased with her!
Her dress was smaller before I added the ruffles (they stretched the stitches so the dress looks so wide) but I think I like it better that way. Her hair too. I planned on adding some more to make it look more like the reference, but...no I like it how it is. ^_^

For all who want to see the reference, please have a look here: lalaloopsydollhouse.com/2013/0...

I like seeing new stuff but it's hard hunting for it since they discontinued Lalaloopsy in Germany and I can only buy what they have in the UK. But they don't have the cute plush ponies I hoped for.

Cars are always cool
Hm...what is it like... Of course, I would say it's normal but let me think. We have many nature around here, the weather is often not really warm or cold (I hate that) and our prices are pretty expensive. The radio plays nearly only American music and we have many TV shows from you too.

amazing4life In reply to Yuki87 [2014-04-18 23:24:51 +0000 UTC]

Mm...the weather flip flops a lot like yours does....It's a very big place with many different states, I haven't been to all of them but each one has a fruit or veggie they major in growing. Things aren't that expensive, but somethings are a little ridiculous depending on where you shop.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Yuki87 In reply to amazing4life [2014-04-22 13:32:11 +0000 UTC]

Oh really? Every state has some fruits or veggies that are 'special' for this place? I got a lot of delicious Huckleberries from Montana in every variation. So I already thought about that.
We don't have that. But there are regions in Germany that are famous for their culinary things.

yuki, i was wondering how you done the hair. that Β is so amazing. could you give a tutorial on the process. i have a pattern for this doll but the hair is glued on in strands and i do not like the idea of using glue on the dolls i am making. if you could help with this that would be so great.

you are a very talented crochet artist! all of your dolls are so wonderful.

Yuki87 In reply to clreynolds12 [2014-02-27 10:22:02 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for liking my doll. I think you're using Npantz22 pattern, right? She's amazing!

My technique is rather simple compared to hers. I just crochet a string of chains, turn, and work one double crochet in every stitch on the previous row. Cut, leave a long strand of yarn at the end. Then I roll it and sew the roll together with the leftover yarn strand. Hope that explanation helps. I'm bad at writing down or explaining. ^^

clreynolds12 In reply to Yuki87 [2014-02-27 16:58:08 +0000 UTC]

yes i am using Npantz22's pattern. yes she is. i have purchased 4 of her patterns so far. yes , that does make sense. thank you so much. i am trying to make these dolls as child friendly as possible without all the glue. once i get this one done i will upload a picture to share.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Yuki87 In reply to clreynolds12 [2014-02-28 12:47:19 +0000 UTC]

I have a doll from Npantz22 and I also used her pattern once. Both are fantastic. And for the glue I can say, it's not as bad as I thought. It really is strong and I use it too now. But sewing is better when you give it to a child.
Would love to see a picture, when you're finished!

Here in Germany the dolls (even though we don't have many) are at least twice as expensive as in the States.

So I'm happy to be able to make some for myself.
