Description The cover for my Journal for my College project.
I have to keep a daily journal of events and artistic things in August. I wonder if these people know we live in a boring part of the country?

Oh, another thing I like to do with my sketchbook designs, to keep them in perfect condition: cover it with packing tape! that clear shiny kind. it's the funnest part of finishing a project.
I've tried laminate before, but it doesn't stay shiny. Plus, the sound of pulling out the tape is another fun part.

I love that sound X3 I never like using packing tape though since I can see the lines. Have you tried a layer of PVA glue mixed with water?

No.. That sounds weird. XD Does it hold everything in place? What's PVA glue?

just the normal glue or paste you use, you might have done paper mache with it before, and yeah it's brillaint for holding stuff in place you just have to remember to put a thin layer on

I'll have to try it sometime. Is that what you've been putting on your sketchbook designs?

nah I just leave them because I like the different textures. I usually use them inside if I'm doing a flat collage.

I guess that's when you make things sound more dramatic when you live in a boring area.

"I got up this morning and had toast. The sound of the toast popping up caused the windows to break. It's the second time this week."

Nice design. I need to get around decorating the journal that I never write in. I had clipped out magazine clippings and everything. *lazylazy*

Hehe I should watch some action movies to get inspired, as I made toast the ninja's attacked then the terminator busted in through the front door, this shows the clash of eastern and western influences in my art today haha XD

So you have to write what happened that day, then draw something about it?

Sounds really interesting. I should try that. I've been in such a block this summer.

Aww thanks, It's an A5 size Sketchbook that I made from scratch, I can make just about any custom size under A4 at the moment so I've been experimenting since it takes a few tries to get all the holes for the spine right.

You simply must post your project when your done with it I can't wait to see it X3
