An outfit for Chrysa in my imagination.
The queen made a pact with Princess Celestia, and in exchange, she save Princess Cadance from the Crystal Empire, when King Sombra returns and defeat Shining Armor.
Chrysalis sacrifice herself as a fake Cadance, and become the captive of King Sombra. When Sombra see her real form, he fell in love with her and want to make her to his queen.
This dress and jewels are his gift.
As the events unfold, Chrysalis face a hard choice: the colt, who love her for herself, and with him an evil path again... or she do, what is right and help Princess Cadance.

This has been the background on my phone for the past several months, almost a year now, I think. Thing is, I never knew who the artist was until this happened across my Facebook feed. I'm so glad I found it posted by the original artist because boy do I have some things to say about it.
First of all, the whole thing is simply and completely brilliant. The lines, the color, the tone, that beautiful Sombra inspired gown - it is all literally perfect. I didn't have to read your artist description to know the story you were trying to convey. Everything you need to know is written in her expression and done beautifully. The gown itself is what really brings this piece together for me. If you were to have drawn Chrysalis without it, I would have drawn the conclusion that she was saddened by her defeat in Canterlot but by adding the gown, and in an original Sombra esque style, it adds a whole lot of context that gets you invested in the piece. Where did she get the gown? Why does she appear to be so sad in a possition of power? What does this mean for Sombra and the mane six? What could be so terrible a delima that it makes her look so incredibly sad? Why does she have the crystal heart? What does that mean for Cadence? This is a picture that is not only inspired but inspires. The background color is perfect, the fade in that color is perfect, the tilt of her head, the slant of her eyes, I mean, god, I could go on all day about this! I usually try to find some sort of flaw or try to make some sort of critique of an artist's work so I don't just sound like a gushing fan but this picture is too perfect. Even the sloap of her neck and width of her chest, the size of her ears, the way her hair lays, it is all just too darn good. I'd be hardpressed to find anything wrong with this. It is just perfect from head to toe. This is the kind of art I love the most, art that conveys emotion and story with a single expression.
So well done! I'm glad I finally got the chance to tell you how amazing I find this work. I've enjoyed it for months and I'll probably enjoy it for years to come. Thank you again and please don't stop drawing.
