Han is laid-back and chill with most things that come her way. She tends to take things at her own pace, and is almost never angry with things. Han is also amiable and affectionate, and is open about her emotions. A definite extrovert, she likes approaching people and trying new things. However, due to her almost listless personality, she is a huge procrastinator. Han is also afraid of failure due to her childhood years, but is too carefree to make up for her fear. Han is also quick to assume and finds many things tiring if she is bored of it. Also a glutton, Han can be greedy for money and somewhat unmoral/shady. Also, due to finding it tiring to voice her opinion, she may accept whatever deal that comes to her, even ones where she gets a shorter end of the stick.

Almost 22 years ago, two students met in the bustling city of Beijing. The two, from different backgrounds, both came to the city for different reasons.

The boy, oldest of four siblings, spent the first 18 years of his life in a poor, rural town with little spending money. Despite his hard circumstances, he was a hard worker and studied furiously until he received an acceptance letter and a full scholarship from one of the most prestigious universities in the country.

The girl, on the other hand, was a social butterfly, bred and raised in the city. The daughter of a prominent surgeon, she never needed something she did not have, yet she had never succumbed to the temptation of an easy life. In the year the boy received a commemoration of his years of studying and hard work, she, too was mailed an acceptance letter.

The two eventually did get together, under a cupid of shared majors. Both were intelligent, brilliant students loved by their peers and teachers alike, thus it was not much of a surprise when they finally got together. Three years into their relationship, the two were living together. The two were starting graduate school when they finally tied the knot, and within a year Han was born.

Growing up, Han had a typical comfortable childhood in a considerate family. Her parents, despite being busy, always found time to spend with their young daughter. While her past never carried the dramatic tragedy one might think would happen, things did change considerably when Han finally entered school.

Like many Chinese/Taiwanese families, her parents - or rather, her mother- were incredibly focused on keeping up outward appearances. The stress was buttered on with leechers and cryptic, prying questions. In the eyes of the world, Han’s parents’ successes only added on to her pressure of being “presentable,” to her pressure of being a model child.

These ideals surrounding led to Han being confined to her house during her elementary and half of her middle school years. Her mother, bent on producing a child that would not shame the family, hired tutor after tutor to shape the child’s mind. It seemed as if Han had taken all of her mother’s good-natured personality.

By the time Han the summer of the second year of middle school came around, she decided that she had enough of such a constraining life.

Roping in her supportive but soft-spoken father into the plan, Han left behind a boring life of endless textbooks, moving to a small apartment away from the mainland. There, she lived by herself in a comfortable little apartment and attended her third year of middle school.

As the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun, and just like that Han graduated from middle school. Though her mother had already accepted her decision and begged for Han to come home, Han happily continued on her education. Her next step in a life that only she controlled would be Yinhe High.
