Description Azarus spent several years on a deep space station, "mining" old radio waves from earth. He became quite popular working as a Disc Jockey, replaying old tunes to the interplanetary travelers. Azarus memorized many songs and knew the history of variety of music. He really loved that job!
Variety of antique pen nibs and ink. 5 hours.

Thanks! Azarus is crazy character!
When I first sketched this pic out, I thought his pose would be very different. So, I made allot of lazy sitting poses. I chose that pose because of his foot. What fun!

hmm...interesting backstory. What happens to him to make him lose it?

He fled the satellite station, when some bounty hunters found out who he really was. Azarus did not want any more of his friends there to get hurt, so he quit his job.

ahh that's understandable. Self sacrifice to save those you care about. A pain that alot of people have to go through in fiction and reality.

DEEP SPACE 6. I TAKE IT THAT'S 2 DOORS UP FROM DEEP SPACE 9?
(YES, I'M A TREKKY.)

Cool! I love Star Trek!
More like 2 floors down from deep space nine. Deep space six was an abandoned space station taken over by group of intergalactic space hippies. These aliens keep finding stuff on the station that causes them allot of trouble. Most of the population on the station are society dropouts and stoners. The few smart characters on deep space six, have to be on the alert to fix those problems before some outside power has to interfere with life on the station.

THAT'S A VERY INTERESTING CONCEPT FOR YOUR STORY.

I KNEW a dee-jay, the LATE TOM KNIGHT, what
a SWEET man he was, and HE loved LOST IN
SPACE, he played OLDIES of the 1950's &
the 1960's, hombre.
He even d-j'ed my wedding FOR FREE, ZAGE.
Tom also liked OLD tv westerns like MAVERICK,
GUNSMOKE, and BONANZA, REAL westerns, amigo!
Azarus LOOKS so cool!

I'm liking your new colored pics. It brings them more to life for me.
Now, I'd like to figure out how to get a job like his! I do believe I'd enjoy being a spacey disc jockey!!;3

Cool! I hope to make more coloured pics in the near future! Now, that could be a fun story! A human being abducted, so he could play rock music on an alien space station! :w00t! I agree! Being a space Disc Jockey would be allot of fun!

Azarus thought some of his alien music fans were strange.

He's not playing the soundtrack from "Footloose", is he? (I thought that movie was kinda LAME. I did like Streets of Fire and IT'S soundtrack.)

Another good soundtrack from that same year was To Live and Die in LA, which was produced by Wang Chung.
