Possesses a curse that forces him to jump to whatever world Pitch enters (details below); the curse appears tangibly as a glowing casting circle on the back of his right hand.

Backstory:

Raised on the streets as a thief but bearing a strong moral compass, this serious-minded cat caught the attention of the government when he was arrested for murdering a high-ranking criminal; given a choice of either prison or the military, he became a decorated soldier, and when his enlistment end, he was codenamed "Crimson" by the government and hired as a black-ops assassin to take out high level criminals and terrorists.

His life changed, however, on the day that Ironfist attacked Avinville: while sleeping in preparation for a night job, he had a dream showing him the various strange and twisted actions perpetrated by the mysterious cat called Pitch, including Amy's possession and even Sonic's imprisonment in purgatory; being raised on the streets, he knows almost nothing about the importance of Pitch being Edna Forestia, so when a mysterious voice shows the dark aspects of Pitch's twisted "game" and calls her a menace to all mortal life, he willingly accepts a curse that forces him to jump to whatever world Pitch and Sonic go to.

The mysterious being, who never reveals his/herself to Crimson, gave this curse for a single purpose: for Crimson to hunt down Pitch and end her "games" once and for all; however, considering that her alignment is lawful neutral and that she's been hinted to undergo major character changes though the series' progression, one must question just who this mysterious being is and why he/she really wants Crimson to eradicate Edna. Is this being a chaotic force bent on the destruction of the world, is he/she someone who honestly believes that Edna is an evil spirit who must be banished to the depths of hell, or is this being just some spellcaster who's become jealous of Pitch in someway? These details I leave to the director to decide; whatever the reasons for the curse, should their paths cross, Crimson is guaranteed to protect Sonic and his friends and will even fight for Pitch herself when (and if) he learns the truth about her...
