This is the first piece of all digital art I have done. I wanted something with contrived shadows and simple color work for me to start on, hence the rather cliché Disney/Harry Potter. It is not perfect, but as it was a learning piece my patience ran out, especially on the linework which I never leave exposed in my normal style. Because of this, I did not depict a particular scene. The only explanation for how this motley group of students ended up together in the Room of Requirement I can think of is as a photo for a list club a la "The List" episode 1114 of South Park.From left to right, top to bottom, they are: Katie Bell (Jane), Hannah Abbott (Cinderella), Cho Chang (Mulan), Angelina Johnson (Tiana), Luna Lovegood (Giselle), Ginny Weasley (Ariel), Lavender Brown (Lottie), Alicia Spinnet (Nani), Romilda Vane (Esmeralda), Pansy Parkinson (Vanessa, Ursula’s human form), Parvati Patil (Jasmine), Hermione Granger (Belle) and Padma Patil (Pocahontas).
I tried to choose on a combination of personality and looks. This is why Lottie is there even though there are plenty of blond main females. Eilonwy would have worked for Luna in personality and she does have long blond hair, but I can’t stand her and Giselle is equally nutty and I adore her. I know the Patil twins are identical, but I made them fraternal as they are in the movies so I did not have to draw the same one twice.

You know, ironically, the last time I read Harry Potter... well, let's just say that as far as the Golden Trio and Ginny go, you got my visualizations three-quarters right! (Eric= Harry, Hermione= Belle, Ginny=Ariel... only instead of Herc I pictured Ron looking like Milo Thatch for some reason... go figure.)

Yes, but Luna isn't, hence the look. I mentioned that Eilonwy would have been closer in looks, but I really hate her and love Luna. If I were to redo this picture, it would not be only Disney and I would definitely use Aisling (Secret of the Kells) for Luna. That would be a perfect fit.

Very nice, as I am a big Harry Potter fan
One thing though: Romilda Vane was always a jealous Harry fangirl, which does not match Esmeralda personality
I mean, Esmeralda attracts all of the attention, but she does not do it on purpose lol
I think she would prefer to be left alone
But if I ever pictured her, I could see her with Esmeralda hair ^^
Cho Chang would be a great Mulan cosplayer XD

Thank you. I have to disagree about Esmeralda. In the book, you are correct, she is innocent and does not try and attract all the attention she gets. In the movie, where this Esmeralda comes from, she pole dances in the town square and kisses a priest;there are not many actions I can think of that say "look at me" more than that.
Giselle is from enchanted with is both a parody and a tribute to old Disney movies and I highly suggest you watch it.

all of them will die except mulan, maybe nani, tiana, vanessa, pocahontas & esmeralda, disney princesses are soo useless they would only get in the way and therefore be killed by the first horde of Voldemort's death eaters, just saying, neat picture tough

I think Belle, Jane and Ariel would stand at least as much of a chance as surviving as Ginny Weasley (Who I think is useless) did as well as some of the other characters. Would Cinderella survive? Probably not, but Hannah did so I guess so.

The personalities of the princesses work out very much for the Harry potter characters, especially Giselle as Luna.

No, it is Cinderella with her hair down in the way she wears it with her first, pink ball gown. I am doing Aurora as Fleur Delacour in the picture I am currently on. She is more haughty and not nearly as sweet as Cinderella, not not a great Hannah.

Oh wow, this is great. You mentioned elsewhere that you are not keen on backgrounds but the harry Potter scene here is wonderful!! This is a whole branch of art that I am not familiar with, but its really cool and i'd imagine its great fun to work on
