Some wanted a blanket monster Papyrus to go with blanket monster Sans and who am I to say no, haha. It's no fun to play this game with Sans though, he just stands there and lets you (well, Papyrus, no one else) get him. So lazy!(sans only goes after papyrus, in turn)
Pretty rich for him to talk about bad upbringings . Not pictured: Toriel potentially getting jumped by a blanket monster.
Getting flushed and red is normal post-tickling, this is entirely platonic.

There isn't really any information about Chara/Frisk's backstories before falling down to the Underground, so I can understand the lack of interest for the humans' backstories.
The skelebros' backstories in Handplates, in the meantime, is supported by Gaster and the clues to him being a skeleton and knowing "two" specific characters, as well as being the previous royal scientist, plus the True Lab. It may seem like zarla made a backstory out of nothing, but there are actually many clues that could support this and thus making the AU really interesting.
The humans could have any backstory. All we know of Chara's backstory is that they hated humanity, which might have made them run into the mountains, accidentally tripped over a root and then fell into the caverns.
As for Frisk, we don't know ANYTHING about them, why they went to the mountains (Asriel even asks them about this but no answer/choices of answers is given), or what their life was like before.
There is one thing I realized during my TP run today, something I never realized before and am unsure if other people know of this...
...but Chara getting ill suddenly, eventually leading to their death, it was actually a plan by them and Asriel.
If you "watch" the video tapes in the True Lab, Asriel and Chara will talk about the time they gave Asgore buttercups and made him very sick, then they go gather "the flowers" and then Chara is sick and Asriel doesn't like this plan anymore.
I think he also says something about this in the Epilogue when you go to the beginning before the Ruins, but I don't really remember, I didn't go see him there today.
Either way, Chara's death was set up by them and Asriel and caused by buttercups poisoning.
That's how Chara got sick and died, that's one thing we know anyway. That Chara was willing to die to take over their brother's body and make hell on humanity/monsters. Chara is truly an odd and creepy character...
