going through some stuff lately, sorry, here's something i did like a week or two ago that's kinda happy. someone asked if gaster ever gave them baths and i'm just gonna copy and paste my other description, my head hurts"Anyway, they probably wouldn’t really need much in the way of hygiene being skeletons (maybe??), but when they were very little, like before they could really talk much, he might have cleaned them up with some hydrogen peroxide if they made a huge mess somehow, haha. Before they got the plates, the brothers didn’t like it (what little kid likes baths after all) but Gaster didn’t particularly care one way or another, it was just something that had to be done. Once they could do it themselves he just left them to it.
After the plates were attached there was no way he’d ever clean them up like that again, it’d just make them all utterly miserable."

Basically, if you are missing a hand or something and something almost hits the stump, but not quite, you might feel the pain, as if your hand was still there.
What I'm saying is Gaster's brain/soul/whatever thinks that the hole in his palm is still there, and theoretically, when something goes through it (Like Papyrus's mouth and/or the towel he had covering his hand, which would further the illusion that the hole is filled) then he feels a certain amount of pain, depending on the severity of the injury

Okay throughout the first several comics Gaster keeps talking about how he DOESN'T want Sans and Papy to get attached to him, and yet he gives them chocolate. CHOCOLATE! If someone gives me chocolate, they're like, my new best friend.
