The story tells of the continuous fighting of X, Zero and Axl against the remaining Mavericks. During one of their patrols in buildings used as secret laboratories, they are captured and experiments are carried out on them. When they wake up they find themselves alone and they perceive enemies coming towards our protagonists. Who are these threats actually?
