New features:
  • Export posed objects as OBJ
  • Export poses
  • Select bones by clicking on them.
  • Experimental support for 10.7. Warning: Not all computers running Mac OS X 10.7 can run this app. Only those that support OpenGL 3.2 or higher (that's the same ones that can be upgraded to 10.8 ) qualify.
  • The program is officially signed, so it will run without trouble even on 10.8 (where you have to take extra steps to run unsigned apps).
  • Emissive textures, like in XPS 10.9.2
  • Change normal vector assignments (as in XPS).


So not a lot, and somewhat behind XPS. Don't worry, I plan to catch up, but right now, the important part was the bug fixes:
  • Textures are loaded correctly on Intel GPUs.
  • The app no longer hangs on certain GeForce cards.
  • New files don't show up as modified from the start.
  • Light direction values were all wrong.
  • You can now see all UI elements at the default window size.
  • Selecting a lot of meshes no longer takes forever.
  • DDS textures with 32 bit but no alpha channel are supported.
  • A few items were problematic.
  • And some others.


This update is recommended to all users and so on. Have fun!

Some of the skin textures don't work on my GLLARA. I'm not sure if thats a problem with GLLARA or the models I'm downloading

If a model works with XNALara or XPS (and I assume any model available for public download does), but not with GLLara, it's always my fault, not the models.


That being said, it is very likely that it has something to do with the model. Lots of models do very different things, and I simply haven't managed to find and test all edge cases yet. So if you could tell me what models you mean (with a link to where you downloaded them), I'll look into it.

I downloaded a few from various places. 

One being the  tombraider forums website. And I've downloaded a few from Devianart as well. Some of the models I download (Mortal Kombat) just don't have skin textures.

"GLLara is a program for Mac OS X that does the same things as XNALara/XPS [link] and tries to be compatible with it. You use it together with XNALara models; simply google for them or search DA, there are plenty."

Yes, it is possible to use them, no conversion necessary. If you happen to find one that doesn't work, that's a bug, and please tell me about it!

Simply start GLLara, open a new document (that should happen automatically) and select "Add a model…" in the file menu, or press the "+" button.

I click on the file, and when I click on the XPS file, it would highlight it for me.

Stimmt, das ist noch nicht drin. Das soll ja ein extra Modul sein, und dazu bin ich bis jetzt noch nicht gekommen. Version 0.1.1 hat vor allem Fehler behoben, und seit dem habe ich erst mal Outfits und Texturpacks implementiert (und außerdem kann man jetzt den Shader eines jeden Meshes ändern, was ganz lustig ist). Ich möchte das Format spätestens bei Version 0.2 drin haben, aber bis dahin kann es noch etwas dauern.
