Description

Jack had spent his early life with many other Pokémon waiting to be sold to a budding new trainer, but after the depression hit fewer and fewer people could afford the price of specially bred high IV Pokémon such as himself, but it didn’t mean that people didn’t try. Though, quite a few of his fellow Pokémon were being sold, more and more of them were mysteriously going missing. With the old breeder's prized ditto gone, he knew his business was done for. The old breeder sold the remaining eggs and took two unsold Pokémon with him on his journey to the next town over to live with some relatives. Jack being a squirtle was a rare Pokémon that the old man wasn't willing to sell for a low price and a minccino that was returned for bad behaviour.

The journey was anything but smooth with the old man looking to be an easy target, they were inevitably targeted by a robber. Having never been in a battle before, he was easily subdued by the robber. Being held dangling by the tail, he helplessly watched as the old man was kicked onto the ground while the minccino put up a big struggle causing her further injuries, but through all the commotion some good samaritans came to the rescue. Having been outnumbered the robber two to one, the robber fled. The two men were named Danny and Alan; young vagabonds who had been riding the rails when they came across the kerfuffle. Since they were headed to the same town, they decided to travel together for the time being. Alan treated the minccino's wombs and Danny had light-hearted chitchat while teasing the tense squirtle with the old man, the rest of the journey when by smoothly. Wanting to repay their kindness, the old man gifted them his two last Pokémon.

Dumbfounded, Jack who was worth thousands was given away for free.

After that, he and Danny fought countless battles together over the years. After evolving into a Wartortle he did his best to force himself from evolving any further; having grown close and used to being spoiled by Danny, he didn't want to give up being held and brushed by him in exchange for more power. Once Danny got married and had kids, he enjoyed his life as an idle house pet, mostly taking naps playing with the new baby. Until the day Danny was drafted.

After leaving the sleeping toddlers room, he heard Danny and his wife arguing.

“Jack can stay and help you with the boys,” Danny said, with a helpless, forced smile.

“No! You’ll be safer if he goes with ya!” She insisted while shaking him by the shoulders.

“But-" Hearing Danny was leaving without him, Jack clung to his leg, refusing to let go until he agreed. With both Jack and his wife's insistence, he eventually relented.

Jack promised to himself that he’d say by Danny's side for the rest of his life. And he did.

Here’s my boy, Jack~! As I said with Tink I am a sucker for tsunderes ┐(￣ヮ￣)┌ In truth after the first time sketching all of them out (back when the meme first came out, and I only had four tenants) I kinda shipped Tink and Jack together? ｡(*^▽^*)ゞ Though it probably wouldn’t work out for a multitude of reasons, but man would it be cute (๑´ㅂ`๑). Anyhow, I’m super happy with how he turned out （´ω｀♡%）
