Assalam-o-alaykum and hello everyone. Let's move forward and this time we have shops of Hunza. I am just gonna focus on the shops which sell the handmade jewelry and stones and gems. Because Hunza has abundance in this field. Although some fruits like cherries, apricots, figs etc. but I couldn't capture shots of them because of lack of time.
So, lets share the photos:
A brief introduction of some of the things that were available in the shop.
A shopkeeper I met in Eagle Nest Hotel (I will talk about it later). He was very happy when I asked to take his photo.
Father and son running a shop. Very nice people to interact with.
Different handmade things including napkins, hats, handkerchiefs etc. As well as utensils like spoons can also be seen.
Antique things. Since this place is influenced by Japan and Chine, there are so many Budhist related things in this region. There were so many carvings and works related to Budhism.
Different range of rings, necklaces, earrings etc. They are all natural and real stones and gems. Nothing artificial.
Antique decoration and jewelry related stuff.
The stones and gems in raw form. They are extracted in this form initially, after that they pass through so many phases like cutting, polishing etc. before ending up in our homes.
An old pen. It was still working good in case someone could afford it!
A handmade decoration piece. They are sold pretty expensive.
A white coral stone. I just fell in love with it when I saw it. I requested the shop keeper to let me see in full detail, he told me told to let sun shine through it, you can see beautiful reflections through it.
Hope you people like these photos and things which were on display.

What a beautiful assortment! I especially love the tapestry. It reminds me of one my grandparents had when I was a little girl.

that stone looks priceless , I just got a book on gems you must be very elated to be able to see them in person , it's almost more gentle looking than pearls

Very interesting, especially the antiques! That white coral stone looks like an opal to me, one of my favorite gems. Thanks for sharing!
