Description
On the eve of natures winter fury leaving everything encased in ice, I was inspired by the sunset. It was captivating as the vivid sunset cast light through the ice and over this local Maryland Dairy farm.I love the colors and the shimmer it added. ENJOY.

I totally understand that feeling. I love seeing something amazing like that and being able to capture it. I recall running into an open field during a thunderstorm to capture the most amazing double rainbow

Thank you! I went crazy when I was coming home that night and I realized how amazing the lighting and ice was. I ran in house grabbed tripod, camera and dog and bolted

it is a very different image.. it isnt easy to find this kind of situation and be also ready with the camera

For the most part, I keep my camera in a Tamarac velocity bag with extra battery and 2 extra cards for just that reason.

Wow... this is such a beautiful shot! I've looked at the other shots from that day,too, but I like this one best. It has that nice warm feeling to it... although it shows ice, quite a contrast there. What I love most about it is the way the sun reflects over and over in all the little icicles - I just can't stop looking at it. I'd love to have this as a wallpaper or something

I must say that is one of my favs from that day also. I love the glaze coat over the plants. I was so excited to shoot what I was seeing that day! It was gone the next day.
