As Riley was checking on his kids before the start, he was... quite surprised to find Romeo in a familiar-looking coat. A familiar-looking sweater even. Obviously he remembered having passed on the coat to his daughter Ona before her first White December just last year but he would have never thought she had kept it, let alone thought of bringing it out again. Or passing it on to her little brother. It was rather unusual of him to smile, especially in recent weeks, yet in this instance at least a little one managed to reach his lips. He felt more sentimental than he thought he would. "I hope it'll keep you warm, son", he spoke, softly. Part of him had not yet realised how his son's expression was already warming his heart.

just a 'smol' little thing that ended up becoming far too complex and time-consuming. *sigh* I will never learn xD just really wanted to capture that little endearing moment because... Riley doesn't seem to get a lot of those
