This is brilliant in its simplicity! Mind if I ask how you made it?

It's chipboard, cut in the same shape and stacked up. With holes and grooves cut into it at strategic points for the innards!

Cool beans. I might try something similar with medium density fiberboard and PVC.

Fiberboard? Not to sound rude, but that might be a bit unnecessary. I've not worked with it, but fiberboard seems like more trouble than it would be worth for a smallish prop like this. I feel it would be harder to shape and sand, and is considerably heavier. If you're good with it, go for it! I'd be pleased to see the results!

Well, I'm building a laser rifle out of it too, and I know I'm not going to use the entire 4x8 sheet for it, so I may as well. The 1/2" stuff shouldn't be TOO heavy.

Also, you're talking to the guy who made Hellboy's right hand and lugged that thing around all night, so weight isn't an issue!

Hahahaha... alrighty if you've got it leftover give it a shot.

Good luck with it, i'm anxious to see what you can do! And i know your pain about carrying heavy props around all day. That missile launcher isn't light!
