weren't you going to change the corruption ability to put the counters instead of dealing damage?
Because, Corruption, like it is, is pretty much a very weak ability.

Excactly. I should have the updated mechanic, and any card effected by that, ready in a few days.

More or less what you suggested, with a slight change:
Corruption X (You may have this creature deal combat damage to creatures in the form of up to X Corruption counters. If the creature then has 5 or more corruption counters, remove the counters and gain control of that creature.)
This should make stealing creature more easy. With Corruption as a upper limit, rather than a fixed number, it allows for more flexibility on the cards. For example, a small creature with corruption 5, that would make some interesting interactions with pumping spells/abilities.

If you want some card ideas or mechanics
---------------------------------------------------
Heart's Warm Day [1W]
Instant (Common)
Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt this turn.
Alliance - If you control three or more creatures that share a creature type, players and creatures have hexproof until end of turn.
--------------------------------------------------
Mailmare [2U]
Creature - Pony Pegasus [Uncommon]
Flying.
Whenever Mailmare attacks and isn't blocked, you may draw a card.

How do corruption counters work in multiplayer games?

According to magic rules, the ability don't have an accurate wording about who gains the control of that creature.
So, it should simply state that YOU gain control of it (refering to the owner of the card with corruption).

That's not true. Whenever a card says "you", it refers to the current controller, not the owner.

I think he updated the card...
In the original version (when I posted) It said that when the creature has 5 or more counters that player's opponent gains control of that creature.

Yup, just updated all the corruption card to the new mechanic, allowing a chioce between counters or damage, and clarifying who gets the creature.

While I havent completely thought that part out, I would say that the player controlling the action that puts enough counters on a creature for it to reach 5, gets the control of it, and removes any counters from it.
