Vangel had somewhat of a rough past with someone who only valued him for his rarity and turned from friendly to nasty whenever things didn't go his way. But he is working on overcoming his old fears and lack of self-confidence and becoming more courageous in good time. ("Fear Not" is in fact the most frequent message from God to us in Scripture, most likely because we need to hear it so often!)

I often think of Espeon as quite like a domestic cat in build and mannerisms, but the official size is actually quite big: around 60 lbs and 3 ft long! As a result, there is a certain amount of larger cat in his design. This also gives his appearance some maturity. Though I think any more would interfere with Espeon's gracefulness.

(I just realized how unusual a realistic feline with no whiskers looks, but the official information on Espeon posits that the hairs all over its body are extremely sensitive, and with its psychic powers it has no need for additional whiskers. While it doesn't seem to be mentioned, I consider the cheek tufts to also be extremely sensitive and further negate the need for whiskers.)

Amazing work by CherishLoveArt . The greener shades on his body are how I prefer the alternate-color Espeon (rather than the extremely yellow-green of the official art). The deeper blue of the eyes (and ears) is a lovely shade, and the reflections in the eyes make it look like there's a whole scene in front of him. Speaking of eyes, the reason he has "normal" pupils instead of glowing ones is that the glow only appears sometimes, such as when he's abstracted or shy or heavily using his psychic powers. Here he is fully present and aware so they appear normal.
