Description Mine and 's redesign of Humongosaur for our UAF reboot, Ben 10 Resurrection.

For this version he uses the armor that he grows and retracts and that he only used in the second episode of Alien Force. He also grows sharp spikes on his knuckles for devastating punches. Kev also gave him some new clothes since to me being naked sucks and a sash and briefs are still not tough enough for this guy.

It was pretty well used in AF ,UA used once but the ultimates and Way Big made it redundant. Then in Omniverse the carryover writers forgot about it and to tell the new guys about it. It should have been used more

I like how it looks just enough like a dinosaur for you to literally draw attention to it, but not so much that it just looks like a humanoid dinosaur. It might look better if you found a way to put the plating on his legs, and the gloves I thought at first were a little gratuitous, but all-in-all, this is pretty awesome!

My take on Hugo (Come back AssassinVariantX!) is basically the same, only the size-changing thing is still a power that they evolved to further combat Tyrannopedes alongside the sharp spikes and plates, but the larger they get, the more damage it does to his spine, hence why Ben doesn't use it very often, and when he does he keeps at around 60 Feet at most.

Ultimate Humongousaur loses this weakness due to his spine being genetically altered by the Galvan to be connected to the shell he bares. (In my take the Ultimates come from an alternate universe Albedo went to that has been at war for several million years and collected the DNA Samples of each race at their current evolutionary point and placed them into his Ultimatrix, which he himself developed in this version).

Zigwolf In reply to Danny-Buckle [2016-10-25 04:49:04 +0000 UTC]

(Oh yeah, that guy is awesome) I think when it comes to size changing, it shouldn't be something he can command at will. The size growth is chemical reaction in his body when it's flooded with adrenaline. His muscles expand and physique grows and he'll only come down from that when the adrenaline wears off.

Oooh, I like that explanation and I'm not even a big fan of the Ultimatrix.

Danny-Buckle In reply to Zigwolf [2016-10-25 10:16:42 +0000 UTC]

The biggest problem with Hugo's Size-Shifting was (to me at least) that he could reach potentially unlimited sizes and have no problem during or after the usage of the form. He could of ended the Highbreed War by using Jetray's Hyperspeed (That came right the hell out of nowhere) and size-shifted as Hugo up to the size of a planet, spend a few minutes smashing up their world, then go back home to fuel his smoothie addiction. Its something UAF Ben would do.

The chemical growth via adrenaline idea is great, but I think I'll stick to the spine-damaging idea, as it forces Ben to limit himself, gives Hugo a good weakness, and allows Upgraded Hugo to actually be an improvement on the original, not a repaint with some more dinosaur-like features.

As for the Ultimates, I came up with the idea way back when Ultimate Albedo first showed up. I thought "A Galvan evolving into M.O.D.O.K? Yeah, that actually makes sense." and started implanting ways for each species to evolve the way they did in the show, and then thought up the war concept as a motivation for these species to essentially become cyborgs. Also it would later be established that there are hundreds of wars going on in different universes, and Albedo specifically selected the one that gave him the most power over Ben, meaning that the fans who disliked the cybernetics a lot of races had could think that in other universes Hugo and company turned out differently.

Zigwolf In reply to Danny-Buckle [2016-10-26 05:54:13 +0000 UTC]

As cool as I think that idea is (and I agree, the hyperspeed came out nowhere) I think there's some science and physics that could keep that move from being possible. Hyperspeed does give an incredible amount of speed but a massive shift change going from Jetray to Humongousaur would add a massive amount of wind resistance and weight to his body and that would slow him down considerably. Maybe Cannonbolt might be a good alternative with being able to go completely spherical and being less heavy than Humongousaur.

Ok, not criticizing but do you think it might be a bit brutal with everyone trying to slam or blast his spine to weaken him ?

So if I'm understanding this right, Albedo made himself into his evolved form and that led to him thinking up how the Ultimates could be developed ?

Danny-Buckle In reply to Zigwolf [2016-10-26 09:35:20 +0000 UTC]

Both of us know that Alien Force and Ultimate Alien did not give a damn about logical science (Clockwork, Lodestar and UA Eatle being biological creatures comes to mind), but yes, Cannonbolt would be the better option logically.

It may seem brutal but the spine can be crippled by many things, such as heavy objects landing on it. This may seem a bit silly to bring up, but the power scale of the villains is much different here. Vilgax doesn't conquer ten worlds, he conquers hundreds (and he doesn't brag about it because he feels he can do better), Maltruant is more than an Arc Villain, he is around from the OS, and causes several Time and Dimensional screw-ups (Gwen 10 being the first example), Kevin is a sociopathic monster that owns a massive criminal empire and only gets stronger as time goes on (He does reform eventually, but he goes through hell several times to do so, and still doesn't get with Gwen), Dr. Psychobos is a genuine threat, removing his species' usual weaknesses through mutation and experimentation and taking over Xenon as a research area. And those are just the main villains. I could go on all day about the Forever Knights and Zombozo and the other villains that I changed, but I believe I got the point across. Hugo's back is an easy weakness to exploit, and depending on the villain, they will use that weakness to torture him (Vilgax and Kevin) or simply to bring him down (Dr. Psychobos and Maltruant). Besides, if I was restricted by censorship laws, anything too brutal would be seen through shadows and facial reactions of the surrounding characters, which (as Batman: The Animated Series has shown) can be even more effective.

Though I do like that idea, that is not what happened in my take. What happened was that Albedo evaded capture (no stupid "two Omnitrixes can't exist in one universe spiel") by turning into Goop and slipping through a crack in the wall. Throughout the rest of Hero Generation (sticking with the Man of Action Title), it is mentioned that Albedo has yet to be found, and it all comes together in the finale (Vilgax was already took care of in The Secret of Chromastone, which in this take a story about a conman named Sugilite who tricks Ben into fighting Vilgax so he can escape his wrath), where we see Albedo come through a portal baring the Ultimatrix. It is shown through flashbacks that after his escape, Albedo needed something to boost his power level, making him undeniably stronger than Ben, thus he built a dimensional portal and looked for a world with stronger forms to utilise. Then he finds the Ultimate Universe, where Vilgax and Ben (with Master Control) beat each-other to death, blowing up Earth in the final punch between Ben as N impossibly large Hugo smashed into Vilgax, smashing him through the Earth, rather graphically burning him and then hitting the core, blowing up the entire planet. Albedo sees the power these beings possess, and decides to do his own DNA Hunt, and in the span of several decades collects the DNA he needs for each alien in the Omnitrix, plus a few new aliens that evolved throughout the Ultimate War. He and a few friends he made whilst studying that Universe return to the main universe, then Albedo uses Clockwork (who Ben unlocked during an interim series between the OS and Hero Generation but never really masters until UA) to return to the present, and sends Hugo, Swamps and Fridge (i'll probably rename those last two) to take down Ethan (Kevin's replacement), Gwen and Julie (who is more of an Action Girl here), while he takes care of Ben himself. His Ultimate Counterpart is a member of his armada, but Albedo wants to keep him (and the rest of his army) ready for the final battle.

(Yup plus there was the added ability of Super Speed to Way Big that made no sense for a being his size and had no ill effects on anything or anyone around him)

Yeah but I'm thinking of how often it would be seen with his spine getting hit. It's like every time Ben turns into Humongousaur, it'll be expected that his spine would be targeted. Wow, I like that idea of Maltruant causing the altered timeline of Gwen 10, he could realize that killing Ben is almost impossible so he'd take away his greatest asset, The Omnitrix and make it go to someone else, plus he'd also give the Ben of this timeline the memories of the original, for an added sting. I had a similar idea for my first reimagined take on Kevin, after escaping the Null Void, he discovers his matter absorption ability and uses it with a gold chain to make himself millions and becomes somewhat of billionaire supervillain. (Good idea with keeping him from getting with Gwen, I never understood how they even became attracted to each other). That's a good idea for Psychobos, with his boasting of superiority, you'd think he would of found a way to improve himself through those methods.

Oh ok, now I get it. I really like that idea.

(I have tried to block out Flash-Way Big from my mind. The logical failures hurt to much for me to want to bring it up)

Notice how I only brought up the big threats before (Vilgax, Maltruant, Dr. Psychobos, ect...)? I did that because they are the only ones dangerous enough to risk going bigger for. Hugo is a situational form. Ben won't turn into him to stop Clancy or Rojo or any other low/medium level threat. Hugo is similar to Way Big in that way, he only pops up every once in a while, and when he does, expect a really cool fight. Speaking of Way Big, he also has an obvious weakness to exploit: His fin. Both Hugo and Way Big have obvious weakspots, but there is something stopping them from being facepalm-worthy if a fight sequence neglects to show it. For Way Big, its his height. For Hugo, its his thick skin. If Vilgax smashed into Hugo's spine repeatedly, while Hugo is at full size, it would break. If Kolar (who in my take is an old friend of Manny Armstrong that was kidnapped, brainwashed and mutated by Dr. Psychobos) through a single punch at his back, it would sting, but not break. That is why Hugo and his species evolved such thick skin, as protection for their backs. Also not every villain is going to know about such a weakness (I mean, do you know the weaknesses of every native species on Earth? I certainly don't), so guys like Fistrick or Dr. Animo or the Forever Knights would probably just attack at random, not focusing on a single point.

Funnily enough, the original idea was that Eon did it, but then I thought "Okay, Maltruant has supposedly been around at least since the days of George Washington, and yet he has done nothing onscreen until now? Nope. Not buying it. Changing that now.". The best part is that "A New Dawn" is altered so that every ally of Ben from numerous dimensions has been brought together to defeat Maltraunt (and a few spoiler villains who he is working with, and his two Omniverse minions), including Gwen 10, so he created a part of his downfall.

In this take, Kevin shows sort sort of attraction to Gwen during his teen years, though only because of her appearance, which leads to Gwen calling him a "perverted pig". If I recall, Gwen dates Ethan for a while before going out with a reformed Charmcaster. Unfortunately the files with plans for Gwen and the rest of the "Alien Force" have been corrupted, so I could be mixed up here. I do remember the final couples being Ben-Ester, Ethan-Looma, Julie-Herve (completely revamped here by the way), Edwin-Kai (He funded her archaeological digs, which led to them chatting and falling for each-other), Rook-Rayona, Helen-Manny, Lucy-Cooper, and Max-Xylene (Verdona is an old friend in this version). Kevin is the one I don't remember at all.

Psychobos is much less goofy here (though I do not have the heart to remove his catchphrase), specialising in technology making and genetic manipulation, as well as having massive removable cybernetic enhancers on his legs for faster movement and reflexes. He is arguably more dangerous than Khyber (who is basically the same as he was in Arcs 1-2, only slightly more ruthless and cunning), as Khyber doesn't have a small army of genetic monstrosities at his beck and call.

Thank you, it was actually one of my first ideas for revamping the series, alongside the alterations to Hugo and Fasttrack.

Yup, they weren't even thinking about how this might now work. Only what sounded good to them.

Ok, I guess I can buy that.

Good call on that. Maltruant always seemed like he should of shown up sooner. Now that sounds like an awesome finale if you include all those allies.

I got the same thing going on, Kevin always shamelessly flirts with Gwen and she responds by calling him a sleazeball.
Who's Ethan ?
So Gwen goes out with Charmcaster ?

Damn, that sucks. Good couples though. Glad you revamped Verdona, I hated her so much.

Nice, I like these ideas for Psychobos.

Danny-Buckle In reply to Zigwolf [2016-10-26 21:04:05 +0000 UTC]

I should probably mention a few things about how my version works before I respond to those comments. First, the run-time is forty-five minutes per episode (I obsess over characterisation, and I know that realistically I won't show everything I want to show in just Twenty-Two Minutes (Look at Sublimino to see why) so I extended it to Forty-Five. Second, the show is off CN, and is now on Adult Swim (Lets me get away with more without CN's attempts to intervene) with the 14+ Rating. The show isn't going to become some edgy try-hard crap like UA, but it will still be a dark series, with fun thrown in there as well.

That finale would probably be have an extended episode length to allow the characters to do more like the finale of Gravity Falls. My main concern is that, since Omniverse's finale will not be the end of the franchise (got a build-up for Ben 10'000 series next) people will see the follow-up series as me riding on what I expect to be success without moving on to something new. Though believe me, the finale of the Rise of Ben 10K Series will be massive as well.

Oh, I never mentioned him before? He's the replacement for Kevin throughout the UAF era. Basically he's a friend of Ben from his school who moved there from New York when Ben and Gwen were twelve (Flashbacks show us their bond growing over the course of three years) and dates Gwen for a while. He also has Kevin's canonical history with the Rooters (only he gained his abilities from them through Kevin). His name is meant to be a reference to Kevin's Canon Middle-Name: Ethan. Also yes, Charmcaster and Gwen do get together. Gwen always saw good in Charmcaster, and Charmcaster's bad luck with love made her think "Why not?". It's more detailed than that, but its the easiest way to sum it up.

It does indeed suck. I also lost a ton of data on revamped DC and Marvel Villains, so that was fantastic. I'll talk about Verdona another time, as her revamp hasn't been completed yet.

Thank you.

Extended time could work. If Samurai Jack works out on AS then this could too. Amen to that last point, I think one of my favorite 90s cartoons, Daria, summed up how corporations and TV networks try to crank out something and label it as edgy www.youtube.com/watch?v=887WIB…

So after OV, you'd move on to Ben's halfway point to being Ben 10K ?

First time I'm hearing about him. So are there any difference between Ethan and Kevin because (and no offense) most of the stuff sound like aspects that are copy and pasted from Kevin.

I like that idea of Gwen and CC, though if I were to try it, I'd make it CC from a hero/villain swapped universe because I like the Prime CC staying as a bad guy.

Whoa, once again that sucks that you lost all that. I'm actually working on a Marvel Universe that shows how some heroes and villains turn out if were allowed to move on with their lives instead of staying with the status quo. zigwolf.deviantart.com/gallery…

Danny-Buckle In reply to Zigwolf [2016-10-27 01:17:28 +0000 UTC]

I need to watch Daria. I've heard so many good things about it but I have yet to get around to watching it.

Yes.

Well for one the criminal aspect is gone, and the knowledge Kevin had on Alien Tech isn't present. Ethan's also much more friendly and welcoming than Kevin, and is known for being a kind and forgiving person. However, he has his limits, like when Darkstar (who in my version is much closer in personality to Frollo from the Disney Version of Hunchback of Notre Dame) attempts to enslave Gwen during their first fight and says "she'll make a fine concubine", leading to Ethan ruthlessly bashing Darkstar in a curb-stomp battle. Unfortunately I do not remember the rest (I think he was close friends with Cooper and Manny, but I'm not sure) so I'll probably think up the rest at another date.

That's the fun part: Trying to convince an audience that is used to seeing a character be a villain and see them become a hero without it being to forced or loathed. Also, most of the AU Charmcasters are much worse than Charmcaster Prime in my take. Examples include Animo-World Charmcaster, who is fused with Red Fox DNA and has become slightly cannibalistic, Mad Ben World Charmcaster, who has a fondness for psychological warfare, and Gwen 10 World Charmcaster, who serves as Gwen's Archenemy and kills Cooper out of rage at losing to Gwen, smirking as she did so.

I've seen a lot of those already, and I do really like them (I miss the name Victor von Doom though).

Yeah, give a check, they've got some good episodes and I think they've got a few on YouTube. They're from a few seasons in but I think you still might be able to follow them with no problem.

I like it, a seemingly cool, relaxed person who could go ballistic when it comes to messing with his friends.

I think the key to that is timing. The reason I don't like UAF Charmcaster is because out of nowhere, she's given this tragic backstory, when nothing in the past has alluded to it and suddenly we're suppose to sympathize with her. Kevin even was a victim of becoming a hero too fast. I know it was explained in a flashback but at the series premiere of Alien Force, Ben and Gwen team up with him even though the last time they saw him, he teamed up with Vilgax and was trying to kill them. A great example of this better transition is Zuko from Avatar The Last Airbender, he started the first season as a villain, then the second season as a neutral character, then later in season 3 he goes full hero.

Glad you do (I just couldn't do it. It was such an obvious evil name, like Dr. Evil)

I'll probably just go on Kisscartoon or something so I can watch the show from the beginning.

Thank you. It feels slightly genetic (Nice guy with an angry side is pretty obvious) but things I will not spoil will lead to him evolving as a character a lot.

Very true, though I don't think suddenness completely undermines the attempt to make a character sympathetic. Take Pacifica Northwest, a spoilt brat with no redeeming traits to her name as an example. She went from that, to a tortured and mentally abused figure in the span of a single episode out of nowhere (Unless you count Preston pressurising her to win in The Golf Wars, which I don't), and yet the majority of the fandom absolutely loves the new version of Pacifica. But yeah, I agree with you on the poor handling of those two redemption arcs.

Understandable. (I know it's obvious, that's what makes it so great. Besides, you could easily say that "Doom" means something different in Latveria. I mean if Bulbasaur translates to a slur involving the word "Pig" in German, than I don't see why Doom can't mean "fantastic" or "kind" or "Totally not evil".

Oh yeah, I forgot about sites like that.

You're welcome. It's only generic if you don't bring anything new to that cliché

Well with Pacifica, it was slightly built up over time and in present time. Just like Dipper and Mabel, we're learning that Pacifica's life isn't as perfect as we're led to believe to that she's as spoiled and bratty as we assume. Golf War gave us a small, but very informative peek into her life with her parents being too busy to give her much attention and that they probably won't love her if she doesn't win at everything. This is Mabel's turn to learn that Pacifica isn't as bad and Dipper's turn comes in Northwest Mansion Mystery. In the first half we see Pacifica act like her typical self but have a few moments of being genuinely nice. The mental conditioning with the bell is another thing we're learning about as the episode goes on and later we learn just like Dipper and Pacifica do, that the Northwests are all terrible people and Pacifica doesn't want to be like that, her rich girl personality is something that's expected to her to act but that's not who she really is. It's not so much a face heel turn as it is learning about who a person really is.

Maybe. I'm still not entirely sold on the idea just yet mostly because people tend to focus on how a word sounds in English than what it means in another language. I mean "quizas" for example sounds like "kiss ass" but it's really Spanish for "perhaps" but people don't tend to notice the translation because of how the word sounds.

True.

I still see it as another reason why Gravity Falls is one of the best television series of all time, as they took a self-described "Walking one-dimensional bleach blonde valley girl stereotype" and made her genuinely sympathetic character. It shows the true talent of the writers of the show, and that they were willing to put in the effort to make it feel natural.

I love how goofy Doctor Doom is. If Earth's Mightiest Heroes (Easily the best Marvel series released to television) made him work despite the name, I'm sure you could. I was just trying to give a decent reason why anyone would have "Doom" as their surname. Maybe he changed it to make himself seem more threatening?

Definitely agree on that point.

I think in the universe of EMH, Doom could get away with having a silly surname like that because the universe is so "comic booky"
and it really works there.
Eh, maybe. I might be able to buy that. Maybe he tried to go for something with a Vlad the Impaler motif, like Victor Von/(The) Doom.

All I can say about Gravity Falls now is that there's a reason I made one of the main characters my icon for DeviantArt. It is my favourite cartoon show of all time, beating out of OS of Ben 10 and Steven Universe by just a bit.

Fair enough, I mean the show had Mandrill, Grim Reaper (Albeit a much cooler-looking version of him) and King Cobra and still made them work as villains (I really wish Mandrill appeared more though). Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they revealed that Stilt-Man and Gibbon were going to appear in Season Three before the show's cancellation (I am still bitter about the cancellation, though apparently USM is being replaced with a new Spider-Man show, so maybe we'll get a respectable Marvel Animated Universe again).

Nice. I can see him being interested in Vlad the Impaler due to how feared he was during his rule, and he wanted to replicate it for his own time as Latveria's ruler.

Nice, I gotta agree with you there. Gravity Falls is definitely up there in my favorites along with Ben 10 OS and Steven Universe, just barely beating them.

Yeah, now a show like that knew how use those villains right in terms of character and mostly design. I've seen some episodes of Avengers Assemble, Hulk and the Agents of Smash, and Ultimate Spider-Man and they try to adapt characters with silly designs that would of worked in EMH but they don't work that well with the more realistic look that whole universe is going for. Those would have been good additions to EMH. (I just hope this isn't a revamp to fit more in with the MCU Spidey)

Exactly.

The only recurring issue I have with Gravity Falls is that I feel like Mabel is given better treatment than Dipper. In fact I actually hated Mabel for a short time after Dipper and Mabel VS The Future due to how she is demonising Dipper just because he accepts an offer to work with someone who he withholds a massive respect for on a subject that he adores. I do understand why she would feel upset, but think about it this way: What if Several Timez offered her some sort of place within their group? She would jump at the chance to work with people she adores in a subject she obsesses over. If this happened in the canon, Dipper would probably be saddened but accepting, and Mabel should be the same. If I had made the episode, Mabel would be saddened about the idea of losing her brother and goes to sit outside, where Wendy has just shown up from sorting out the issues with school, and when Mabel explains it to her, she says that she'll talk to him when he gets back, and when he does, she takes him to the side to talk about how upset Mabel is. Dipper rationalises that she would get over it, angering Mabel (who is of course listening in on the conversation) due to her brother brushing off her sadness so easily, and runs off with her bag. Only it isn't her bag, it's Dipper's. Then the Blendin scene would happen basically the same way it did in canon, and the finale would show Dipper and Mabel realising that they both weren't thinking about each-others feelings when that happened. Also the final five-ten minutes would be significantly different, with Stan only getting back a couple of memories (enough to recall the names of his family at least) and is forced to go live in Piedmont with the twins so that he can continue his memory recovery. Stanford tags along as well, deciding that Bill's defeat would lead to a good transition into retirement, as he is getting older and wants to spend his final years surrounded by the family he never thought he'd see again. Soos and Wendy take over the Mystery Shack, and are financed by Pacifica, who officially loathes her parents due to Preston's attempt to team-up with Bill and wants to start over the Northwest name with the arrest of her parents due to conspiracy. Renaming the Mystery Shack to The Pines Family Mystery Mansion (With actual artefacts from the culture's of the cryptids they ran into), Soos, Wendy, Pacifica, and later the teens, Manly Dan, Gideon Gleeful (Who now tutors people in the mystic arts) and Melanie turn the old, battered Mystery Shack into a thing of beauty and mystery. We hear a narration talk about the future, showing second-long snapshots of important events (Both sets of Pines Twins in an oceanic area fighting off a Krakken (Showing that they would later go on adventures beyond the restraints of Gravity Falls), Grenda and that guy from Northwest Mansion Mystery getting married, The Mystery Mansion's expansion, Preston rotting in a cell and finally the entire main cast (plus Pacifica) standing in front of a campfire talking about one of their adventures (showing that they do go back to Gravity Falls on occasion)) before the screen fades to black.

Apparently a recent Avengers Assemble episode had Egghead as a main villain. Why are they bringing in these weird classic villains into a series that is supposed to be a slight alternate version of the MCU? On the bright side, his appearance in the series makes me suspect that Egghead is going to be the main villain of Ant-Man and The Wasp, which will be fun at least.

Sadly I suspect that it will be merely an update to the MCU Spider-Man, as I believe the majority of the Ultimate Spider-Man team is working on it. All I hope for is that they put in more effort this time.

I'm liking that idea. Especially with how different things are at the end. I like that Ford and Stan move with the kids to Piedmont and that Stan still needs to recover his memories. (I didn't like how fast Stan recovered his memories in the show)

So I'm thinking that Soos would come up with the weird attractions and Wendy would be something of a promoter for the Shack and think up really fun ideas to get people to come there. Didn't the Northwest's lose all their money by the series finale ? Wow, with all those people and new additions to the Shack, they turned it from a run down tourist trap into something amazing. I like that ending with the twins fighting a Kraken, I could see Dipper seriously trying to fight it while Mabel is trying to defeat it with kindness and chum. Great ending.

I got no idea. Most of them don't really even fit the mold of that universe. Plus if a character gets shown in the movies, then they're immediately changed from the cartoon to fit that look. A good example is Klaww, he shows up in the first episode of Ult. Spider-man looking like a typical costumed super villain and after his appearance in Age of Ultron and in some recent episodes of Assemble, he looks so different than before with no explanation.  One thing I also hate is a character's names appearing as they're introduced, as if to say we won't remember them or their name unless it's shown like that.

Yup agreed on all those last points

When it comes to the finale, I feel like the team wanted to wrap up the show nicely and neatly so that they would avoid fan backlash and that would allow Alex to move on to his FOX Series. The problem is that such a nice ending doesn't really fit Gravity Falls, as throughout the show they would poke fun at things similar to it (The Crowd booing instead of cheering in Sock Opera comes to mind) and mould the parody with the plot. Here they use the whole "everyone has a nice, happy ending" idea and stick it in right after the amazing sequence with Stan and Bill. It just really bothers me (That was the biggest problem me and a few friends of mine had with the episode, the fact that it was rushed ruins the final part of the episode for me).

The attractions are far different from before, that being that they are artefacts and samples of the creatures inhabiting Gravity Falls. Soos and Wendy both go on "Crypto-Hunts" every weekend while Pacifica funds advertisement for the Shack (though Soos does bring back Questiony the Question Mark as a mascot for the Mansion) and Manly Dan works on the expansion of the Mansion to fit in more artefacts and rooms for people to stay in. In this version Mayor Tyler gives Pacifica access to all of the money the Northwests own after the arrest of her parents, as Gravity Falls Law states that if the parents of an individual are killed or arrested, the children get all the money they own. Yes, that is canon for my version of Gravity Falls now, though Stanford gets the win with a blast of a teleportation gun set for the Mystery Mansion Cryptid Study Centre (A titanic room beneath the mansion) and go back to Gravity Falls to study it (Basically this is what both pairs of twins do now. They go hunting for a cryptid, send it back to the study centre and release it back into the wild after they've collected all the required data on the creature, making notes in new versions of the Journals that are published exclusively at Mystery Mansion. By the time the elder pair of cryptid hunters truly retire (By then both are in their late nineties), they have released thirteen journals to the public, detailing everything from the Gnomes and the Gobblewonker to Vampires and Werewolves.) All four Pines family members have statues in their honour and have made the cryptozoology community expand to the point where new finds are international news headlines. And even though I'll probably never get permission to release it, I am going to work on crafting a document version of all thirteen journals, as now I think I'm going to work on a fan-sequel series to the original show, and I would like to have the creatures lined up and ready with their abilities, weaknesses and background information all lined out.

I haven't seen the new Klaw, so I wouldn't know. I do agree with the character name showing up though, it is utterly pointless. I mean how many times do we have to be shown White Tiger, Nova, Iron Fist and Luke Cage's names in a series they are main characters in? It shows how little effort goes into these programs, and how much effort was put into Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Spectacular Spider-Man in comparison.

From what I hear, there was suppose to be three seasons, but the last two seasons were merged into one, so that must of been one of the things that led to a clean cut ending. I get where you're coming from with being bothered, it felt like every loose end of the series was suddenly resolved in the last ten minutes and the better of almost every character.

So would the Northwests have done something else to get arrested ? I mean, all Preston did was pledge his allegiance to Bill and got his face mismatched in rejection.

Nice, I like the new kind of job the Stans are doing for the MMCSC. I would love to have their full 13 journal collection.. I think it would be funny for everyone to suggest what their individual statues be made out of. Stan suggest his be made of gold and diamonds. Dipper and Ford suggest theirs be made of recovered metal from the underground UFO, and Mabel wants hers to be made of a solid mass of different candies and the remaining sprinkles from her barrel of industrial sprinkles she got from Stan in the stickers short. Cool, I'd love to see what kinds of journal entries you come up with.

I've been trying to put some links to what Klaww looks like but my internet stalls when I open up more than three tabs so I have to describe them. Klaww almost looks like a red and purple robot in USM, then in AA he looks more human but has a greyish costume, then in his next appearance he looks like the Age of Ultron version who gains a robot suit that looks like a bulkier version of his USM costume. Just very inconsistent in every one of his appearances. At least in EMH, Klaw was given a constant look and flew straight into the old time adventurer motif and when he changed into something else, it was giant cool looking creature made of solid sound.

Yeah seriously, there's a wrong way to use this (like in USM) and a right way to use it and maybe get some humor out of it, like this youtu.be/PYJFzOzpwHo?t=11s
Yup, it's a big step down from the great series we had before. Plus one thing that irks me to this day is when Marvel took out Josh Keaton's voice and put in Drake Bell's for Spidey's appearance on EMH. Everything was already recorded, but they wanted to have the EMH universe to connect with MCAU, so they changed it.

I remember that as well, and I thought that they would go with three seasons just because of everything that they'd have to cram into the second season for it to feel complete, and all things considered they did a good job, but the final ten minutes (and Mabel's treatment throughout the latter half of season two) weigh it down quite a bit for me.

Well Pacifica and the Pines Family would show the town all the crimes they've committed over the years, adding more and more time to their sentence.

Thanks. I will get to work on Journal One at some point soon. That idea is amazing and now canon. The Journal Entries will be much more organised than the ones in the show (Both because of the fact that they are meant to be for public use and because they won't be written whilst being chased by the creature the entry focuses on) but will hopefully be interesting. It'll probably be laid out similar to my Reinvented Character Journal Entries (Name, Basic Information, Background (Focuses on the evolution of the creature rather than the build up to heroism/villainy that the Reinvented Characters focuses on), Powers, Weaknesses and Other Random Trivia) and each journal will have Sixty entries each.

I went and looked up the Avengers: Ultron Revolution version and it does indeed look nothing like the robotic figure seen in USM. A costume change is one thing (It happens in the comics all the time) but a complete design overhaul? No (Unless you're reworking a flawed design, of which the Klaw design was not).

Gotta love Kevin Smith.

Drake Bell is not bad at voicing Spider-Man, but Josh Keaton sells it so much better that comparing the two feels like a set up for a cruel joke at Drake's expense. It was stupid yes, but what's done is done and the episode was still a good one, so I'm not that bothered by it.

Agreed.

Oh, I see. That totally works.

Cool, sounds like this is going to be really thought out.

Yeah, it doesn't work when you have no context for the change and it comes out of nowhere for outside purposes.

Yup, I love most if not all of his movies.

I agree that Drake Bell's not bad but it's the lines he's given that kinda killed it for me. The episode is good but I can't help but try to hear Josh Keaton every time Spidey talks.

Preston needs to suffer more than just jail time, but it'll have to do.

Yep. I posted the first journal entry a few days ago in the Journal Section about Humanoid Mummies.

Agreed.

I respect Kevin Smith a ton, as he seems to be one of the only celebrities in North America who genuinely adores his entire fan-base. He just seems to be in this constant gleeful mood whenever he sees a fan of his work, and I can appreciate that. As for his movies, I like most of them (Tusks is a bit weird but oh well), but I wouldn't say that any of them are masterpieces.

Agreed. I believe one of the lines he had to read was "Aunt May, you're evil! Like, Dr. Doom evil!". Ugh. Same here, but still I cannot help but try and be positive aout it.

Ok, I'll check that out.

Oh, yeah. I keep forgetting some of the movies that he doesn't star in (like Tusks). I agree with Kevin Smith getting a lot of respect, he's like the ultimate fanboy and despite all his success, he never acts like he's above it all, like some other celebrities do.
You know, funny thing, I was watching Dogma when I was reading this last night.

Yikes, that's bad. Yeah, it's good to see the positives even when others see negatives.

I just find it amazing that the guy who gets to spend one day talking to people like Adam West, Tara Strong, Mark Hamill and Stan Lee then spends other days simply going out with his family or assisting his daughter with her own career. Even if every movie, show or podcast he produced was abysmal, I would still at least respect his humbleness (Certain singers should try out the humbleness thing (Looking at you Chris Brown and Jason DeRulo)) and the status he made from himself.

Huh, Interesting I haven't seen Dogma in a while, I might watch it again sometime soon (I need to get through Death Note & Soul Eater first though. Those are mandatory.)

To be fair, I literally picked the worst line I could think of, though most of them really aren't much better. I see USM (and the post-2012 Marvel Animated Universe as a whole) as examples of wasted potential. Man of Action are still great (OS Ben 10, Generator Rex and the crossover show that), but they went with the sillier route (Presumably because of the MCU's more light-hearted tone) and as such the episodes that are meant to convey genuine drama feel unnatural and forced. With the current MAU seemingly ending, I hope that MOA is able to do some of the cooler, more dramatic stuff from the more likeable works.

Yup, Kevin Smith really is amazing.

You can check out Dogma on YouTube, they got the full movie up on the site.

Yeah, no matter what episode I manage to catch, it's never a full minute before something stupid is said by someone. Plus Ultimate Spider-Man made me think "With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility" was such a stupid lesson for the show because of how much Spidey was saying it to everyone, I don't mind this lesson being taught to those around him but he was saying it to everyone like it was a magical phrase that could turn bad guys good. It's hard for me to defend MOA at this point because of how they're handling the Ben 10 reboot, I mean they worked on the OS but now they've got more control and less people from the OS working with them, so the determining factor of how bad the Ben 10R is, is solely on them.
