I've long been a huge fan of snowboards and snowboarding, even though I've never boarded. I hold board design (snow, skate and surf) as one of the mot impressive forms of current art and design. so I got to thinking that I should stop lookin' and start tryin'
Quite a lot of my artwork makes for really cool board designs and I have a fair few now which have yet to see the light of day... u never know, they might be on DA sometime soon
This design was done really late at night when I was bored and playing about with my Tablet. I wanted a really simple design for the figures, yet that had a complex sketchy feel to it. The wacom and photoshop turned out to be perfect for this.
Personally I would love to see this full size on a board, how cool would that be
I will be submitting the detail full size as a wallpaper soon.

i'd ride that board. I'm heading to Vermont to go boarding next week. This year a new company came out (new to me anyway) called Arbor boards and they all have solid wood cores with like windows to see the wood. My new board is a Ride Kink which is all wood and you can see the grain and everything.
Anyway, there is a website that you can make your own board, if you are interested i could send it to you. you can make that board design a reality.

you should try sending your design to manufacturers. I do see many good designs on boards but there are so many crappy ones aswell! Rule the out!

it was produced in Photoshop and Illustrator. the board template was from a manufacturers website.

Those are some really nice designs. I like simple boards. I'll cover it in stickers anyways xD. I don't look at the graphics of boards when buying them, although I do think these are nice. It woudl be neat to see one of your designs on a snowboard and be like "hey, I've seen that before!"
