This is a rather old drawing which was just lying around since January. I really didn't feel like finishing it. I mainly did this as she won my who to draw poll at the beginning of the year.I worked from a rather small and unclear photo, as it was hard to find big clear pictures of her(around 200 px width only). This made it hard to get the details right. The shading was very heavy on her on the reference. As it progressed I tried to lighten it up, which I think shows, it does not look all natural.
It doesn't look as realistic as I was aiming for either. Yet I learned something from it, so I guess it was alright in the end ^^
I found a very nice photo of her recently - as I tried to find out how to do her hair - that I really liked, which I should have had back when I started the drawing.
I am thinking about drawing her later on to do her more justice.

I think she has a very unique expression and it's really hard to draw it down,to me at least.She's one of the only persons it takes me really much to draw.

Positivly lovely...but have you noticed that Marilyn is a little fish-eyed? Not the drawing, you were looking off of the pic, but the original picture, I swear, she had fish-eyes! Strange....

i think theres one fault of this drawing.. her shoulders look to small.. compared to her head.. im in no position to critise, im crud at drawing but i just thought id mention it

Everything from her neckline up is outstanding...below her neck shoulders and garment are 2-dimensional in appearance...not enough attention to detail there. Unfortunately that oversight detracts from a rather outstanding protrait.
