Description For some reason when I've run out of ideas for art projects I always seem to go back to the one thing I hate doing most, portraits. After I finished Kirby Mercer 2 I had no ideas left for my fan art and when I have nothing to work on it's when I want to draw the most. I hate how that works.

Anyway, on Sunday night I decided to do a new series of portraits bases around the characters from the upcoming game Batman: Arkham Asylum. So I plan on making digital paintings of Batman, Joker, Bane, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Killer Croc.

I was really surprised how quickly I finished this seeing how long my traditional portraits took. I have only been working on this off and on since Sunday night and as I write this it is only Tuesday night. If I was to guess I would say it only took me between 6-7 hours total.

Very nice. It is really interesting how you have done the mouth area. It has oten been described as a groteque slash, and that is exactly how you have captured it.

The mouth was tricky because in all the screenshots of the game it almost looks like the smile is a long red sticker attached to the face. That's probably because the Unreal Engine was used in the game and that tends to add a lot of excess shine to the characters.

Thats very interesting. Makes sense about how a lot of things look in games.
