Ididn't exactly like vampires then but i liked them.I was in 4th grade at the time so i wasn't allowed to watch vampire stuff caue it was violent.

The only reason I ever read Twilight is because it was about vampires. It ruined vampires for me for a while, until I discovered Darren Shan. Now I love vampires again, but I hate Twilight with all my might.

OH GOD YES. I respected vampires and i loved the fact that i appreciated them for who they are: blood drinking killers.
And then suddenly I'm swamped by a hundred thousand fangirls screaming who only like vamps cus their hot and quenches their day dreams.

Thank you! I think Stephanie Meyer just incerted herself into a love story where she could get bitten like a masochist! Now i can't even use vampires in the book series ima writing without people thinking it's because of Twilight!
And...has anyone noticed the lack of character-depth in those books. I read half the first one a couple years ago, and even though Bella's the narraor i never learned anything about her besides the fact that she's aparently gorgeous and everyone loves her...and she loves a dead dude and a dog-boy.

I know... Sometimes I want to read vampire novels or write about vampires, then Twilight comes to mind and kills everything for me.
The writing is terrible. Period. The characters are like ballons with faces drawn on them. Superficial, but empty.

I won't comment on the writing yet...i'm really on here as an artist, though i haven't posted anything yet, so i don't really know how great my writing is to compare. I don't know if i have room to critize.
And, people are always like "oh the romance makes me feel a fuzzy and it's just beautiful and i...blah blah," but i had to restrain from gagging...so yeah, whatever.
