I've named my dog Bella, but not after Bella "Schmella" Swan. I just found the name online as I was looking for names for puppies and I found Bella, and I got my puppy and named her that. I thought it was a good name, until those dumbasses were like "oh you named your dog Bella? like after Bella Swan, right?"

I'm still wonder what they hell chess had to do with the book... I sadly read when I was into reading it...
Unless she's saying since the queen seems the be the strongest piece -since it has the most mobility- that bella is the strongest vampire because she didn't attack humans as a newborn, gave birth to a half vamp baby and then proceeds to have the ability to negate other Vampire's abilities -something she had apparently before she was turned-... Then I'm glad I stopped liking twilight.....

The pawn represents Bella at the beginning of the story, she was the weakest. The cover represents Bella as becoming stronger.

so basically, going from weak and annoying and to 'the strongest' and annoying...

Lawl...I guess.
Bella taught us that if a girl is in a vampire romance novel many dogs will be named after her.
As is my stepmother's.

now those are names that will be crossed off my list until Twilight is forgotten.... I don't wanna hear
'This is my pitbull Bella-"
'You mean like Bella from Twilight, that is the best name eva!!!111 Should get a another one and name it Edward or Jacob and no, Edward so then you can have puppies and name them Reneseme - I know I spelled her name- Nessie....'
'No, actually it's short for Bellatrix... from Harry Potter'
'Who's Bellatrix, that's an ugly name. Why would you name after someone no one knows'
".....Don't make me sic her on you...."

Sad part is... I READ all the books, and didn't realize how STUPID they were until the ending of the fourth book, NO F@#KING FIGHT SCENE!!! hell Harry Potter, a series for a much younger audience, had a final confrontation with the main villain, this just set me up for a total let down. That being said, it made me die a little inside.

Question:
WTF is with the red pawn? I mean i know the queen is supposed to represent Bella after her transformation into the Queen of the Bullshit, but why a red pawn?
π: 0 β©: 1
ZlayaHozyayka In reply to TheLastIronMan [2010-09-05 03:41:43 +0000 UTC]
Because a pawn is weak, and Bella was described as weak when she was human (the red symbolizes blood, what she once had)

What Meyer fails to realize is that a pawn is not weak. If I remember correctly, I think I've taken a queen with a pawn before.

Yeah, but that's what *she* thinks. People who do not understand chess may think so. Some people are just so narrow-minded about it.
I mean, the pawn is involved in a lot of special chess moves (En Passant, promoting it into a 'stronger' piece, etc.), and not to mention that their so-called 'weakness' is compensated for by their abundance in the board.

you know, i always wondered what the symbolism on the twilight book covers was supposed to be. as far as i can tell, it's mostly just a bunch of random images.

sumeshiryuk In reply to ZlayaHozyayka [2010-08-19 04:59:15 +0000 UTC]
personally, if i'm just picking up a book randomly off a shelf, i'll choose the most colorful one, or the one with the most intricate/unique design, or something. so i mean, if you're trying to market a book not based on it's writing quality but the quality of the cover art, twilight kinda fails.

you're right about her paying for it.
she stole like practically the whole story of breaking dawn off the nocturne.
i wished she was getting sued for plagiarism.
have you seen the analysis between the two books, and the letter? if not, i can show it to you luul

I haven't seen it yet, unfortunately, but not only that, but the books are just ΓΌberlengthened fanfics with the typical plot...something which is less than expected of an author.

well, basically.
- Both Books contain a wedding
- Both books have a sex on a beach scene
- Both books have a character explain what itβs like to go from a human to vampire
- Both books have the lead vampire character referring to their wife as βloveβ.
Except in the nocturne, the point of view (or the person telling the story) is a man instead of a whiny little sue bitch.

Thanks.
And I know, it's terrible.
Even the man himself in the Nocturne is a vampire, I believe. I hope he's a non sparkling gaypire, at least.
Oh, and stephenie meyer lies.
I recently found out that, well. You know how smeyer says she never even thought of the idea of werewolves just until she actually wrote new moon?
Well, she says Forever Dawn, the book she wrote in 2004 or 3 (new moon came much later after that, so did twilight.) was EXACTLY partly the same story as her most recent book, Breaking Dawn. In Forever dawn: Bella ditches college for Edward, they get married, they go to isle esme for their honeymoon, bella gets pregnant, renesmee is born, Jacob imprints on renesmee (uh, pedowolf anyone?) and so on and so on.
Focus on the bold part, and also focus on how she says she'd never even gotten the idea of werewolves and imprinting and stuff BEFORE new moon came. Remember, Forever Dawn was written way back before new moon was.
If what she says is actually true, then that means Jacob was actually a real human pedophile who actually became in love with a tiny child.
If it's not true, then she's lied to us all.
Am I missing something or..?
