Gahhh~! Okay this was meant to be colored but I don't think I'll pull that off for some time. I'm still learning how to overlay color on grayscale pictures like this. (By the way, this is how all my pictures look before they're colored). So the picture is a bit undefinied because of the shading, but once the color is added it'll be easier to see.
I drew this with pencil, inked it with cheapo pen, scanned it, then shaded it on Photoshop. Any coloring tips would be appreciated - especially in terms of lighting and carnage coloring. As a side note, this picture is a scene from my third book (the first of which is presently half way done). Enjoy!

Hey, I saw a couple of your attempts at this one! I obviously have no suggestions and am therefore blissfully useless.
This pic is a departure from your usual stuff. Like, it's no doubt your own style, it's just got elements ::coughs "ugly skull" cough:: that take you from what you're used to. A landmark drawing one might say.

Very good, though the girl looks a little stiff, the perspective is a little.. poor [i mean, the throne and the position of the girl on it] o_O but the details are very good xD i like a lot the skull, the bird and her face expression.

awesome picture! when you color it, i'm gonna get it as a 3' by 2' poster and put it on my wall! i would give you advice, but i have the art skills of panda with down syndrome having a seizure.but i can do this: Good luck with your book!

Thanks for the comments! I am currently writing a fantasy trilogy about a powerful gem that got separated into two pieces - good and evil - and then fused onto the swords, as shown in the picture. Throughout the books the holy and dark hero (different each book) must search for their sword and then attempt to destroy the other faction. But the story isn't simply good versus evil ...
