2002 Version: [link]This I drew and colored within a collective 35 minutes. The instructional video we watched in Art class in whatever grade I was in in 2002 was a 30 something minute video, and we were given a few extra minutes to color. Soyeah.
THE IMPROVEMENT, ITS SO OBVIOUS. Still some flaws and things I could work on, but doing this little project made me feel good about myself.
(The Moon looking like a cookie was something that just had to stay the same however. So much so, there's a Hershey Kiss shaped crater on it. COOKIE-MOON SHALL LIVE FOREVER)

first of all, it's a lovely drawing ^^ I like the way he looks and the way he smiles.
Now, for the critique you wanted on this one...lets see...
I agree with Ruskyi47 a background would be nice, just something simple like some (more, I see you have a little bit already) grass and a bit of a blue sky. I think it will make your wonderfull cookie moon come out reall lovely ^^.
About the shading, you made a nice start, but try and be a little bit braver, some more shade will make your animal come to life more.
I know it might be scary 'couse you have come this far (at last I think it is scary), but it will probelly look great. It you just like me think it is scary than you could try take a picture of it or scan it, so that you at least have that one and than work on.
Also he will leave a shade on the grond as wel, even if it's just a little one since it's probelly night in your picture?

Thanks so much for the feedback, I plan on redoing this piece again when I get time. (Did you see the 2002 Version? Its full of sillyness!)
Shading is a horribly scary process! I'm always afraid I'll screw up something I'm proud of, hence my gallery of sketches. Making copies is probably something I'll do more often, it has served me well in the past. I had forgotten about doing that until you brought it up!

Overall pretty good anatomy, but the head and neck look more like a dog or bear. They feel a little too short and close to his torso. The coloring is pretty good, but there are a couple slightly messy strokes in the outline (like in the antlers). It would also be nice to have a stronger background (as awesome as the cookie moon is, a full background it does not make).
