I am NOT a fan of anyone who makes religiously motivated decisions, but this point he makes in his 2006 Speech, which can be read at the following link [link] , is quite valid. Oh, and if you are one of those folks going on about he is Muslim or not "Christian" enough, seriously learn how to read and take in this entire speech he gave. Then be very ashamed of yourself and wish every person that was a Christian behaved as he does so that not all of your kind looks like a religitard.Related content

The point seems pretty clear that it is one thing for a person to hold their own chosen belief based on their own chosen interpretation of some holy writ, but another to expect that everyone else would agree with it. And quite another to think it could reasonably be the basis of law in a nation founded on the notion that people cant and wont agree on those sorts of things.
I wont argue with a person who claims to be of a faith. But I likewise wont hesitate to say they are immoral or unethical regardless of what they claim their faith demands of them. Plato had it right when he asked the question, Do they decide for us what is good because they are gods, or are they worthy of our worship because they are good?

Is that all you have to counter? Sweetie, if someone curious about your faith READS that damn book front to back, they are going to drop you like a hot potato, unless they really that much of a bigoted asshole like you are and need something to hide behind in order to justify being such.

An empty suit. It's one thing to make inspiring speeches, and another to back them up with actions. You have to look at what he does, not what he says. What a disappointment.
