Personality: At first glance, Lance seems like the type of person you would usually avoid thanks to his usual cold expression; when in fact, he can in fact be quite kind when someone actually takes the time to try and get to know him, (not that he would stick around another person long enough for them to get to know him though.)

He's in fact pretty anti-social so he doesn't mind people avoiding him. His anti-social behavior is not due to some angst or 'I hate the world and everyone in it' type of thing, (as he would rather others believe), it's more to the fact that Lance is a very paranoid guy. He'd rather observe others rather then try and get to know them personally. He doesn't mind having acquaintances, it's when someone get's close to him that he can't stand. He's also not much of a talker because he's pretty awkward when it comes to conversing with someone, so he'll usually just say what needs to be said and be on his way.

Flaw: His awkward sociable behavior and extreme paranoia around others.

Background: Lance's life as you expect it wasn't something of sunshine and daisies. His mother always seemed overly paranoid over just about everything and was overly protective of him. This is also most likely where Lance got his own paranoid personality from. His mother kept him home schooled for fear that something strange might happen because of his father's genes so he didn't see or interact with other people his age very often, and when he did his mother would often shoo them away. He didn't know any better and didn't understand that his mother was only trying to protect him, even if she was going about it in the wrong way.

One day, when Lance was 14 years old he got in an argument with his mother over her overprotective behavior. He wanted to go to a normal school, have friends, and do everything else other kids his age did. His mother had a fit and ended up blurting out to him about his heritage and about his father. Lance took it hard, but at the same time was somewhat happy to hear about it. Confused and wanting get away, Lance ended up trying to run past his mother to "run away", but somehow ended up traveling through her shadow and into the kitchen, that wasn't but a few steps away, and ended up passing out because of the strain it had on his body.

Not long after this whole fiasco his worried mother reluctantly decided to send him to Camp Half-blood as she was often told to do many times before when Lance was even younger. Lance has now been in the camp for six years and still counting and has made a few acquaintances during his stay.

Other Info:

- He's counselor for the Hades cabin.

- When he turned 18 he got a tattoo of a crown on his wrist.

- "The crown tattoo symbolizes an individual's sovereignty over their own life, feelings, thoughts, and actions. The crown symbolizes self-control, and is a reminder to use power and authority wisely and justly." Copied & Pasted from a tattoo website. ;x

- His original hair color is black, but he likes to dye it different colors from time to time. For now his choice of color is a dark teal.

- Lance speaks very bluntly when he does end up talking. He'll often mention random observations when he does talk because he's not sure how else to respond to some conversations.

- Penny happens to be the only person at the camp that he's able to talk to for long periods of time. Even so, he can only take being around her for to long, and often tries to avoid her because he knows that once she starts talking, he can't help but listen to her.
