Description
This portrait was a semifinalist in the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition of the National Portrait Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution, 2009.3300 portraits were entered and 103 semifinalists were selected.

Sometimes I deliberately render clothing in a slightly more cartoony style than the face to try and tip the unsuspecting off to the fact it's a drawing and not a photo. This has never really worked, but quite a few people have commented they like the clothing texture.
