I carry a Smith & Wesson Cutting Horse folder for the past 10 years or so. If you keep the screws snugged up and use a good wax based lube they work just fine.

That was a cool idea for a photo to

Great revolvers, shitty knives. Get yourself a SOG or Spyderco.

If you check my gallery you will see I own many Benchmade, Spyderco and SOG products. While I agree the S&W knives are not as nice as the higher end knives, the purpose of this picture was not to suggest good or bad, it was to simply show Two Smiths. And honestly the knife in this picture is not bad at all, holds a great edge, I use it to open parts boxes and etc

I've owned that very same knife, just without a tanto edge. After months of use, the blade was wobbly, dull, and it had trouble opening up. I've owned about 6 different S&W knives, all which I thought were good for the price, that is until I researched it a little more. It turns out they just sell the right to use their logo and don't even do any kind of quality control. So you're basically getting a third party Chinese made knife with the S&W logo stamped on it.

Luckily after some research, I made the switch to Kershaw knives. They are also made in China, but Kershaw has great quality control and excellent designs. I paid 22 dollars for my Clash and after 5 months, it's still running strong, even the assisted opening feature is working like the first day I had it.

I knew it wasn’t made by S&W, I don’t have a problem with import knives myself. I love my Spyderco Tenacious, and its made in Taiwan, as long as the quality is there, import knives are cool. The knife in this picture is pretty much my desk top letter and package opener. I have never carried it, for anything serious, the rubber handle snags easily even in my casual shorts. I am in no way endorsing the knifes quality or toughness, I only paid 7 dollars for it on sale at Big 5, I wasn’t expecting it to be as tough as a Lion Steel or anything LOL I bought it cause it looked cool, and I put in the pic for just the same reason. You know how it goes, you walk into Big 5 and your like hey only 7 dollars!

Love Kershaw knives, I own many, I have been trying to get my hands on a Tilt, they are pricey, but that doesn’t bother me, I collect many high end knives, its just they are so darn hard to find! Whats really killing me is a few of my buddies were able to snag one at the last blade show, and I had to work, so I missed it, talk about salt in the wound LOL

Again I agree with you on the knife bro, just trying to make a cool picture

Haha sorry, I'm not a S&W hater or anything. It was a cool idea though, sorry about the rant.

Not a problem bro! Its all good, nothing wrong with making a good solid point. Heck most of the people that rant at me have no idea what they are even talking about, its refreshing to hear from someone who knows, cause you have honest experience with the knife. We real gun and knife dudes need to stick together!

Many years ago I owned a Taurus 66 VR, I loved that gun. But one Easter Sunday when my family and I were at church, my neighbor broke in and stole many of my guns. I got all my guns back except that Taurus. Luckily I have insurance on my guns, so they paid me out for the loss. But if it is ever found they will notify me. The guns he stole were lock in a foot locker, my safe at the time was full. Worst part is he knew exactly where they were, he had been a good family friend, but he had a drug habit I guess. After that I stopped buying guns until I bought a few more safes. As my collection has grown over the years I find an alarmed vault is a good place for my rare and expensive items, and the super expensive items are in safes inside the vault LOL
