So, it's been a while since I attempted to draw something more realistic; so I decided to draw a character from Lost. I have lots of snapshots from this show lying around in my computer, and at first I couldn't choose which one of them I should use as a reference; but eventually I picked this one, partly because I like Juliet a lot, and partly because I think she has an interesting face.Hm, what else can I say about this pic... It took me about 3 hours to finish it, and there are several details that I probably could have done better if I had been less impatient. The hair, for instance, is kinda improvised, so don't pay too much attention to it.
But overall, I think I like how it turned out. ^^

I love how you could remake one of those rare moments when she looks at something like this. You can't decide she is about to cry because she is happy or sad, you can't tell she is worried our proudly shy. I love her eyes!

Elizabeth Mitchell is absolute perfection. I adore her! And this! I always make the mistake of attempting to do her adorable little (what I call a) Mona Lisa smirk. And I always fail. She just has that air about her. She knooowss something you don't know. There is a little something wonky going on with her chin and I like, when doing a portrait, instead of having a harsh black outline around her face in the white space, perhaps you could have shaded the area around her? (Not that the line is too dark, I just think it would improve the drawing). All and all, this is fantastic so, please don't think I'm being mean. I do enjoy this a lot! And the eyes are great!!

I was browsing for Juliet pictures, and came across yours. Beautiful work! I have a weakness for pencil portraits, and I'm just starting to discover what you can really do with them. Next to the stunning resemblance to the original, I raelly like your portrait because it helps me determine shades and proportions of the human face -- I usually draw elves myself, so that's slightly different

Oh my God. This is so beautiful.It is just perfect. You can feel Juliet's inner strenght but at the same time you can see how emotionally exhausted she is. You captured superbly that sad, tired look that you can only find it by those who stared too much into the horizon.Juliet is my favourite character too. She seems vulnerable but in fact she is very strong and committed. And she always seems to know more than she is telling us,like there is more than meets the eye. Just like your drawing, it has that aura of mystery the Juliet and Lost generally have. This is really a masterwork.You should be very very very proud of yourself.

yeah, I've been working on a drawing (and then colouring it in photoshop) of Ben Linus for a while now and I feel like I totally can understand his motives better, though, obviously, I can't understand them compleately. B/c he's crazy.

Very very nice! It was a long time since I watched Lost, but I think I remember her... I wasw shcocked by finding such a great drawing in your gallery, I thought it was a fav first. You have become so talented! I dont know why Im always so surpriced, I mean, its not like I generally underestimate your artistic practise, but I have always thought of you as more sensible, practical, intellectual, and the me more artistic and whimsy. Maybe you should quit your current education and become an artist? 
after all, its a great job! I like the area around her cheek/ears and her eyes the most! The shadowing is breathtaking!

Haha, ja, kanske borde jag göra det, herregud vad chockade alla skulle bli, det skulle nästan vara värt det bara för att se deras miner... men nej, jag är ganska nöjd med mitt yrkesval, trots allt. Och det kan vara trevligt med en hobby som är helt orelaterad till det man håller på med vanligtvis, det bli lättare att hitta ett sätt att koppla av på det viset. Och så har man inte så höga krav på sig själv.

Jag förstår absolut vad du menar. Jag känner ibland att det kan bli lite mycket krav för det är så mycket jag vill, och så lite jag orkar. Det måste ju va perfekt att få vistas mycket i naturen, då kommer du säkert få massa inspiration till både bilder och berättleser! Jag är lite rädd för att jag kommer att bli less ( lei, som det heter i Norge ) på att bara vistas i kultur/skola/konst sammanhang, det blir så väldigt flummigt ibland. Skönt att komma hem då och ha en redig bonnefamilj som rensar luften och får saker och ting att bli förnuftiga och självklara igen.

I love it! I'm so impressed by people who can make drawings that look like photographs, I can't even comprehend how it's done ^^ I really like the expression on her face, she looks so calm. She's been one of my favourite characters ever since her first appearance on the show so I'm happy to see such a great drawing of her!
