Hi.... How're things.... I'm more or less a blender noob... Anyway now that that's out there I may as add I'm a student.... One of our projects recently was to build an h-anim avatar using blender and export it to X3D, where it was to be animated... Well my query is: When exporting to X3D I was wondering is there anyway (Other than changing all the points in X3D manually) to export the Groups/Parents/Children objects? Purely for my own knowledge now as project has gone up.... Thanks....

I started using blender more hard out in january, its been a slow learning curve for me using the program only every now and then, teaching myself bits & basics off the Noob to Pro manual in Dec, and now just doing things by trial and error (fun way to learn lol). I enjoy using the program

If you like, you can do a yafray tutorial on your own and contribute it here. I learned Blender by translating parts of the manual for the german WikiBooks. It's always a difference if you "understand" something by yourself and go ahead or if you have to think about how to explain it to others in a comprehensible way. Learning by teaching sounds silly but to my expirience it works

Blender 3d is an amazing program which can compete with comercial programs such as bryce because of the support of the people behind it who (are starting to) update it regularly. Renders objects well, Can use Pov-ray. Can create complex 3d shapes.
