This profile is dedicated to my life's work "Light's Tear: To Bring Chaos Out of Order"
My novel has been a work in progress, building it from the ground up for over ten years, countless revisions, changes and edits have led me to this point. Currently, I am attending college and majoring in English with a Literary focus. I am putting all my chips into my pet project, Rather than giving up and majoring in business. In total five professors have taken the time to review and give criticisms that benefit my editing process, and a particular professor has taken time out of her day to help with the process of writing.
I do have a lot of my works and projects from close to seven years ago, so please be mindful when reviewing my work.

I have been working on it for little over seven years, It's it's a cross between fantasy and science fiction, It has taken me years to build a world from the ground up. Anyway It kind of plays on the idea of multi-dimensions, and different societies, the primary one (the one mainly portrayed in my art) is a very narrow minded society with a "if its not broken; don't fix it" so they still use swords in combat, because its effective rather than improving to weapons like guns or cannons. But they have stuff like super advanced communications and medical fields that out perform our own.

Yeah, it is difficult. The two worlds I created could've easily been two separate novels, but they are intertwined with each other. Like there are the people who are portrayed in my pictures, then a group of humans, who are like warrior monks, but can control magic, but not in a Harry potter sort of way.

In harry potter, they use a pylon(the wands) to control magic, as well as a combination of hand movements and words to conjure magic.
in my novel, Humans draw on a wellspring of magic, which is pretty much a pocket dimension full of arcane magic waiting to be used. They can use anything from a circle of power, to a staff or wand, or the most popular one, Martial arts; Or the one that gets denied in the magical community, the scientific method (which is the most powerful but is never used)
they can cast magic from the soul and body (think the warcraft movie) They just need the know how to control it.
I should look into the NaNoWriMo, It looks pretty interesting. Right now, I am going to college for a literature major, and my professor actually loves to sit down with me and work with me on my novel, giving me feed back and all that.

Ah, I gotcha. That's cool; have you read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell? I'm not saying your magic system is similar to yours, just that you might really enjoy it if you haven't read it already.

I have not, I will add it to my list of books to read, I have a long list that I keep that people say maybe relevant to helping me write. But Yeah, I would have to go into detail how it works but not all methods I mentioned is the same, and this human culture relies on magic, like we rely on techology.
and yeah, my professor is amazing. She will put forth time and effort to students who apply themselves
