In reference to tmj car art 0052, this concept was a design school project in 1958 (Art Center School/ Pasadena School of Design, now) I have been a life long FORD man, and the tail lights were influenced by that era's Ford styling. The exhaust just seemed a natural. A little later, I went to four wheels, centered and cab forward. Can't remember whether I posted any of them. I'll have to go review my site again. Mr-jynx, thank you for your questions. This car, or whatever you want to call it, was an Art Center School of Design (now the Pasadena School of Design) project done in about 1958 or '59. Being a diehard FORD man, the tail lights were definately a Ford influence, as are many of my designs in the late 50's and 60's. I was not good enough to become a car designer, so I spent my life preparing art for the printing industry. Not what I really wanted, but I still am a car guy today.

50s concept art is my main passion in life, I`m just half a century too late. Your design looks so much like mid 50s ford concept art. I think you should pick up a pencil and carry on where you left off. People pay quite a bit for original concept art, It would be great to see some more designs.

Have you checked out my deviantART site for more concepts drawings? Actually, most rough sketches were done on napkins and any other paper I could find at the time and were for possible consideration for a more finished rendering. Tom

Its an obscure interest, 50s concept cars, not many people know about them, theres quite a few out there, the most interesting ones never got built & were just concept art, I hope to model a few one day when Im a much better modeller.
