I've been sort of hanging on to this texture pack in my faves and recently decided to use it while playing in a server. All I can say is 'wow', this pack is amazing. It's right up there with Glimmar's Steampunk as far as I'm concerned, it's super amazing and while it did take a while to get used to everything since it's not quite like default once I did it was epic. Also just a point of fact, I usually hate texture packs that try to turn carpet into something not carpet, but you did a really amazing job with this one, I love the fact that the carpet has a very random appearance. Also can't tell you how much I love the randomness of the bookshelves! Gods I could probably go on about this pack forever, I honestly can't find a single complaint about it no matter how hard I look. I was a bit concerned since I'd settled into a snow biome on the server and I wasn't sure how it'd look, but it's fantastic! Kudos to you for putting so much work into this and making it amazing <3

Well thanks
If you want a complaint though, have a look at the stonebrick. It's terrible, and kind of useless seeing as the different types just don't fit with each other.
I plan to redo stone, all the stonebricks, cobble, embedded ores, ore blocks, tree trunks, planks, and wool eventually. It's a pretty big overhaul i have planned.
As for the wools anyway, the reason ill be redoing that is because as of 1.6 ill have the opportunity to make a set of wallpapers and tiles of each color, rather than having a mix.

I actually like the way they don't quite fit together. In the server I'm playing on I'm building a dwarven city underground, and I used cobble for the walls and stone bricks of various types (regular, cracked and chiseled all mixed) to make the support beams in various places. It's really amazing how good they look together!
That's true, with carpets coming out wool blocks can be used as wallpaper and the carpets as actual flooring bits, which is nice. I'll be keeping up with this pack for sure, I can't wait to see how it gets better over time with updates and new blocks. Are you planning on doing the mobs too? I don't mind that they stick out (makes hunting easier), I'm just curious.

The carpets just uses the wool texture.
I was talking about hardened clay. It's a new block that's basically a tougher version of wool.
And yes, ill be doing mobs as well. It's still a WIP, ill be retexturing everything. I have most of the armors done, and that will be another release in a few days.

You can change carpet and wool to be separate if you know what you're doing though, got a friend who's making a texture pack that's like that.
I know about the hardened clay, I just didn't know what's what you meant XD
Ohh, I can't wait for the armor release then! I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the pack for updates and such ^^

That sounds like something that could be done with ctm through metadata value, though i'd heard it wasn't going to be possible... 1.6 is still only a beta so far, so hopefully it's changed. Of course i could just ctm the wool so the top face appears as something else, since that's what's most likely used for carpet.
I do a lot of advanced ctm stuff, so i really do hope you're using MCpatcher with my texture pack for the full effect... Optifine works as well if there's a performance issue, but you'll miss out on all the transparent glass.
I might just add in a separate carpet texture as well, so you get 3 different materials of each color as building options: carpet could be some kind of fancy rug texture, regular wool could be wallpaper, and hardened clay could be tilework.
As for the armor, have some previews.

If you're interested in seeing how it all works, i sometimes livestream my texturing, you can find out when by following this thread here: [link]
I usually start it around 5-6PM PST and have it on for a few hours, most days. I make a post at the end of the aforementioned thread that says i am streaming, and as long as that post remains up, the stream is going.

I plan to animate the mob textures as well. Well, some of them at least.
