NiGHTS into Dreams is one of my all time favourites , so when there was a challenge set by Game-Art-HQ here on DeviantArt to draw villains, I thought it would be a nice opportunity to draw Reala.
Reala is the anti-NiGHTS – basically an evil version, who I suspect people tend to prefer over the protagonist NiGHTS.
It’s such a beautiful game about flying, dreaming and feeling free that I didn’t want Reala to look particularly evil – so I created a fairly serene piece for the antagonist.

I do really love this. The nights fandom tends to portay Reala as either all buddy-buddy/kissy-kissy with Nights, or stereotypically evil, so this is good.
There's a really nice sense of movement in this too.

This is amazing work. IM glad to see some Sega fans still out there. And I see you put a lot of work into this. And there was a NiGHTS vs REALA theme (2 versions anctually) that rocked my face.

This is splendid work -- and all the *more* splendid is your appreciation of this niche classic gem.
Anyone younger than the age of 35 (with the exception of retro-gaming hunters, and those who checked out the HD remake) have no idea how great it was playing this game on the ol' Sega Saturn for the first time, and using the (at the time) revolutionary 3D Pad.

I'm less than 35 and I recognize and appreciate this right away. I was one of the few Sega Saturn owners in my area. I loved it, even though it never got a proper Sonic title. As I had the controller too...although I worked better without it.

I come back to NiGHTS time after time and *always* play Christmas NiGHTS in the build up to Christmas. That was the best freebie from Sega ever!
