from the historical medical drama series The KnickHaving a bit of an artist/writer's block this week so I thought I'd go back to doing studies for a bit.

Thanks~! I find that the hatching is a good substitute for overworking the marker gradients.
The reference screenshot wasn't nearly as contrast-y, but I remembered what Nathan Fowkes said about always bumping up your contrasts, so Thackery looks like he's sweating here. But that's okay since he's often involved in high-stakes medical procedures.

I sorta want to swap the markers for charcoal powder and go super realism, but I'd also need spray fixative so it doesn't smear and I don't think my landlady would like me doing that... XD;
