Description I remember you as you once were,
The girl with the blonde hair like straw
And the big blue eyes like summer.

Our first meeting, now hazy with the fog time brings,
Two little girls,
Both put together by following the wrong recipe:
A dash of shyness –
A spoonful of happiness –
And more sisterly love than the world could hold,
Despite our blood having not one cell in common.

You were the sister I always wanted,
The girl with the blonde hair like straw
And the big blue eyes like summer.

We laughed together and lied together.
We stayed up all night together,
Popcorn in our laps instead of the bowl,
Secretly watching movies we were too young for
And ones we were too old for.
We were inseparable,
Nearly literally one heart in two bodies.

I knew I would always be with you,
The girl with the blonde hair like straw
And the big blue eyes like summer.

Fights and misunderstandings happened all at once
As you followed a treasure map
And found boys at the X.
And I?
I was left behind –
Or maybe I turned at the first red light –
I saw the black pavement you were driving on,
With the sheer cliff at the end.

I started fearing you would never press the brakes, you,
The girl with the blonde hair like straw
And the big blue eyes like summer.

"I'm pregnant."

I know. I have for awhile now.
"He promises he'll stay out of jail now."

He'll leave you, heartbroken and damaged goods –
"The doctor says it's a boy."

– And you'll have to raise your son alone.
"You know LYLAS, girlie."

Love you like a sister. I've heard that so many times.
"I always will."

Oh god.

Why?
-

You're a shadow in the back of my mind,
The childhood I will always miss.

But I remember you as you once were,
The girl with the blonde hair like straw,
And the big blue eyes like summer.

I LOVE THIS!!
It sucks how people believe lies like "I love you" and "I'll stay with you" and then things like this happen :/ at least you still have memories though <33

awww <3 i sorry <3

and wow. thats... wow. at least she likes her son. I know girls who are in 10th grade, have a 2 year old and a 3 month old with ANOTHER on the way, and they dont even LIKE their kids. and as long as shes making ends meet, she doesnt need a 'man' to help her raise her son. hes not a man anyway if he ran out on his son and the girl he got pregnant. He's a coward. nothing more. She's was stronger b/c she didn't go abortion, adoption, etc...she had her child and loves him. To me, thats strength of character (though I dont condon teenage pregnancy )

lol sorry for rambling xD

Yes, I especially think it's wrong for people to get pregnant and not even like their child. Then the poor kid will always be the kid who was a mistake.
Hopefully the girls in your grade will straighten up soon.

No problem

mhm. I've always wondered how thats even possible, I mean...its ur kid, right? i hate that. then the kids always TREATED like one. some of my best friends were kids who were an 'accident', and they're rly depressed over it, and the fact that they're parents seem to hate them. It sucks
ikr? >.> *shakes head*

Exactly. I don't even like little kids, and there's no way I would want to get pregnant, but I would never treat my child as a mistake. How would the kids' parents have liked it if they were always treated like mistakes? >_<

Aww this is sad..but well at least things ended well...
I have many friends who already have children or are pregnant and many of them broke up with the father once they found out. but thats just the way life goes.
