Description Will you look at Torchic?!
( I recommend you go here so you understand a bit better my reasoning of this redesign)

Torchic and it´s evolutionary line are one of the most mysterious and awe inspiring happenings in the history of Pokemon. And the history of how these Pokemon came to be in the region of Hoenn is even more incredible.

Years before the great war erupted mankind already knew there were various bird species that were "peculiar" in a way, they did not fly and where abnormaly large for a "bird", such as the ostrich, the emu and the deadly cassowary. Such creatures were considered exotic birds and more often than not were regarded as living dinosaurs. Cassowaries were a located species in eastern New Zealand, and some parts of Australia. Although when the war began, many poachers and smugglers began a well organize operation of smuggling these birds through the border of what once was Mexico and the U.S.  (now known as Hoenn and Sinnoh respectively). These operations were obviously a terrible idea and it all went wrong for the poachers, that were caught and incarcerated. Some of the Cassowary eggs and chicks that got into the mainland started to thrive in the southernmost parts of Mexico and some of Guatemala, where they quickly became a pest and a threat to the ecosystem. The day the nuclear bombing between continents began, many of those fell near Mexico and changed it´s weather and geography forever.
The newly named Region, Hoenn, started a reconstruction of its civilization, and salvaged what they could. Far in what once were the coasts of Yucatan, lived a farmer, who had lost all of it´s Hens, Roosters and chickens. He found three eggs, that had landed ashore. These three first eggs were the first Torchics ever born. For a while the farmer did not think anything was out of the usual, months after hatching two of the Torchics were already laying eggs.

The problem was that Torchics enter sexual maturity at a month old. The farmer had now an estimate of fifteen Torchics with him, and he had apparently decided to not notice how all the thatch was burnt periodically.
Eventually the torchics had grown up to Combusken and were causing mayhem in the poor farmer´s barn. He had now noticed how his once cute little chickens had grown up to almost waist height, they had developed longer necks and were able to run faster and jump really high. Some of them had killed the smaller ones and others had eaten the unhatched eggs.

Scared and not knowing what to do, he tried to kill his chickens and nearly died in the process. He was found unconscious and burnt at the side of a highway by a youngling, later known to be Professor Birch.

Birch´s research on Torchics became pivotal to the better understanding of Pokemon, and some say his papers and studies rival those of his Kanto colleague, Professor Oak.

As the farmer´s story says, Torchic is at first just like any other chicken, although as the first days go by, his fur-like feathers begin to look a lot more like a bird. They can´t fly although they jump fairly high and use their wings to loflty return to the ground. These curious animals are very feisty and very protective of their eggs, not so much with others´eggs. They like to fight between them a lot, although it is now known they do this as play-fights. Torchics are recomended for trainers with strong personalities or that can´t be easily deceived by looks, since these Pokemon require so much care. They are omnivors and will eat almost anything they find. When a Torchic get´s angry or excited it puffs it´s feathers and starts to emit flames from under it´s feathers. This causes that most of the time, one will see Torchics with their rears naked or missing all the feathers from one wing...

It´s middle stage, Combusken is even more of a challenge than the cute Torchic. Combusken are usually very loud, and like to fight other Pokemon just for challenge. Many unexpereinced trainers lost their Pokemon because of this. (Like trying to fight an Onyx with their Combusken). They grow up to 90 cm (3 ft) and their feathers start to thicken, some of them start to look like fur, but it´s still very soft to the touch. If one pets Combusken´s head one would find three unnoticeable osteoderms that continue growing until it´s next stage. Their legs become much more stronger and they are capable of running as fast as 30 mph.
This pokemon is still capable of puffing up it´s feathers and brursting out in flames.

What´s most interesting with Combusken is that their wings start shrinking, or so it would seem, in reality, it´s just that their ellongated fingers start to shrink into reptile-like hands. They also (very much like their counterparts, Marshtomps) like to make fun of their trainers and imitate them trying to walk upright. This useful characteristic, makes it perfect for them to learn basic moves and skills they will later use in their other two stages of their lives.

At 36 months old, Combusken go through more changes and enter it´s (mostly final) third phase, Blaziken.

Blaziken is the phase most trainers get Torchics for (although not all of them), Blaziken are usually very calm around humans, mostly due to their daily interaction with them. They can grow up to 1.90 m standing fully upright, although there are some reports of 2.00-2.10 m Blaziken. The osteoderms they start to develop in their previous stage grow on both sides of the head and can measure up to a feet in length. These osteoderms are hollow, although one should never think of these as frail, Blaziken use them to ram against their enemies and cut through them. They lose all the feathers on their face, neck and it´s fully developed arms. Although some vestigial feathers continue to grow over time, these never really look like feathers, these arms are strong enough to lift big boulders, or Pokemon like Golem and hurl them to the ground. Their legs become really strong and are capable of running at speeds nearing 100 km/h. The signature move of these creatures is their burning wrists. When a Blaziken needs to use a fire move it increases it´s blood preassure to its arms and legs. And so their wrists burst out in flames. This flames are capable of melting metal, so one should always use extreme caution when using moves like Fire punch. The pressure on it´s legs also allows them to use phenomenal moves like Blaze kick. One of the most powerful moves they can learn is Fire blitz, although trainers should know this leaves the Pokemon exausted and can burn some of their feathers.

Mega evolutions were a rare thing to happen in the wild or in a natural way (although they do happen), it was later discovered that one could fasten the process of evolution and thus, make a Mega-evolution happen for a short while in battle. Scientists are still figuring out the regression that ocurs after using mega-evolutions, no further information is available at the moment.
Mega Blaziken is an apex predator and is regarded by many as the best Mega-evolution, of the best starter pokemon in Hoenn.

Blaziken have a knack for scarying normal chickens.
