This may be my favorite piece of yours. I love the color/bw contrast and the way you integrate the elements. I'm just curious as to why you put Pi on his hat?

I've always been fond of your drawing as much as your other chosen mediums, but this one really has me excited! The care that you used in represtenting everything from all the facial intricacy in the elder and the boy down to the steps leading up-up-up that you can really get a sense of - like each footstep representing the continual inversion of the dual natured body..each having its turn in the air, each having its placement on firm foundation.. Flesh to to the sky, the sky into flesh; and Pi on the boy's hat, so subtely reminding us of the fragile matrix we are all intertwined with. We are all walking together, and when your feet hurt, put your arm around me and maybe remember that moment should my struggle going up ever impede your motion on the way down - or vice versa!
Our true nature is more than a short ripple across a vast ocean, but comings and goings of our selves in each other's complex individuality from a brilliant single Source in that sky...
When I raise my foot next, I will not forget knowing you here while we have shared time on this foundation.
