Cover to a little book featuring Urban Growth and Goodbye Cruel World Comix , along with a few pages of scribbly little caricatures I'd drawn of Sydneysiders going about their business in the city.Pfft, for a girl who hates drawing straight lines, I seem to be drawing an awful lot of 'em lately.

I think one of the reasons your compositions are so dynamic even when they're more 'structured', as these with buildings, is that even your 'straight' lines aren't quite straight. I love this series, is the book something that will be available to the general public, esp. those of the North American persuasion?

Straight lines are just beyond me. The trouble with drawing like this is that you either have to draw ALL your lines with a ruler or none at all; combinations of the two just look wrong. And I'm far too lazy to bother with a ruler. Geometric precision is overrated. 'Course, as a maker of very geometrically precise corsetry, I'm sure you can tell me I'm talking crap
As for availability... well, this little volume is being published by the Ish Kabibble Press (read: me and my old photocopier), but who knows? We might just explore the export market...

Now that you mentioned it, I hate drawing straight lines too. Just haven't ever thought about it earlier. My "things that I hate"-list just keeps growing!

Heh, mine too. Just today I had to add 'waking from a drunken stupor on the floor of a warehouse, totally surrounded by teapots'
But drawing straight lines nearly tops it.
