this is a great perspective on a simple playground equipment. I may go out & try more to see what else I can get out of these things.

I wish the shadow on the spiral thing was a bit deeper, I think it would help tone down but still keep the highlights so it would pick up more detail in them.

What project was it for?

Ah, that's really cool.

What did the teach & others say about it?

i actually didn't get very much feedback from that class... everyone just said good things... and never any suggestions to better my photography. we had many of the same assignments i have seen in your gallery. form, line, portraits, composition, duplication ([link] ), invertion ([link] ), sandwiching ([link] ).... and i took a few college classes for it too... if you have any questions about darkroom stuff (or anything photography related, of course) just ask xP

I've taken a dark room class & feel in love with it. I want to get one started up myself when I have the money. We didn't get to the sandwiching negatives though. :/ Saddly.

I took two photography classes last semester, then one this semester. I want to take another darkroom class but that's going to be a bit cause they took the darkroom out at the school I'm currently going to so I have to go to another school. I plan on taking one ever year at least. I've also got some free classes from wolf camera in my pocket I need to look into.

I love my college classes though. The teacher is amazing & I'm very glad I'm being caught by him! I've learned alot.

The same goes for you if you have questions.

xD i took photo I in high school and just fell in love
took photo II twice, and then beginners photo in college. all three of which were film courses, btw
and i'm really glad i learned film first... it makes you pay a attention and think shots through a lot more.

i've always wanted to take a digital course, but never had a nice enough camera to do so. what do you think of them? what differences are there between film and digi classes?

Film is lot more time consuming & for me very limiting but it's something I truly enjoyed. The darkroom was so relaxing & let me just forget about the world which was nice cause I tend to get stressed out rather easily. I also love the feel of the Darkroom, the "magic" of it as Jerry Uelsman put it. Having to wait to see what you have under the liquids under the safe light. I also think film helps alot with thinking before you actually take the picture. cause you have to plan it all out before hand or you're le screwed & in digital you don't really have too...but I think it helps a whole hell of alot.

I love digital because it lets you see what you need to do right after you take the picture so you can adjust accordingly. It's alot faster paced which is nice cause I like getting things done quickly so they are out of the way. I also like that you can work more in color with digital which is what I'm doing now. It's easier to shared your work too with the internet & all.

I'm not sure which one I like more because all though they both take time but in completely different ways they are both part of the photographic medium I love so much which automatically means I have a fondness for both.
