I have never written a critique before however I have been viewing your videos and paintings for quite some time, and I have to say I am never disappointed. This piece in particular has that beautiful haunting factor, as do many of your other paintings, but is quite a mystery to me. I love how it seems that this girl was placed into two different worlds; the bright and colorful bubble surrounding her head and chest and her lower torso and arm shrouded in various dark tones. Like your other critics I find the title interesting. at first glance I see a girl drifting into a place much better than her own but perhaps your intention was that it was only an illusion? Maybe this girl was meant to represent someone from a difficult time where there was war or some epidemic that claimed all her loved ones and she was finally headed off to a better place or a person being tempted into doing something against her will. However, it could also be that she was trying to escape some harsh reality through drugs or some other method to achieve a euphoric high. I'll probably never know the true meaning of your art work, but that's what's so beautiful about them, your pieces always tell many different stories. Thank you for yet another wonderful experience, I hope you will continue to wow me as you have done so many times in the past.

When I took a first glance at this work, I was surprised by the title very much, because the painting looked extremely positive and uplifting to me, and i couldn't stop wondering, how to connect the title and the visual image. A day has passed, and I came back to it and analysed it more precisely. The lower part of her body is darkened very much, it really makes you think that something is wrong with this girl.. and the "substance" is not so friendly and natural to her
Things are not what they seem. What produces impression of a friend, can turn into evil and enemy... you better be careful, coping with unfamiliar things. They can be very dangerous though they are tempting you by colorful and inviting look.
I love how surrealistic it looks, and how symbolic. Very subtle symbolism is hidden here really...

I think that this work is really one of you best work. The girl is well done and the "soap ball" gives the idea that she needs air. If your goal was to give a message as "I am feeling suffocate" you reached your intension.

- About the colours:
Girl -> the light violet of her skin remind me a "dead" body under the water.
Bubble -> you used more or less all the colours for it. They are well distributed in the space of the picture, nice balanced. You was able to use all the colours but it is not like an arlequine (and this is positive)
Background -> It is your sign, te white. Personally I like it, the only "negative" fact can be that to "kill" the reflacion effects of the bubble

- About the shape: It is a classical centered figure, with this bubble that gives to her a "jallyfish-like" shape who is, actually very interesting

- About the dimensions: I did not saw the original work so I can only imagine it, but I think that 1 m x 1.5 m is an important dimension, that can only enhance the beauty of the draw.

Generally I like it a lot.
Bravissima!

I can't remember why I clicked on your painting, but you caught my attention and I have a love for art done in a traditional medium. After watching the speed paint, I'm truly impressed with the routes you took and techniques you used get this effect; I take it her skin and hair are acrylic so when you attacked the canvas with watercolor, it didn't turn everything to mud? And the size of the canvas is impressive! I was expecting it to be smaller til I saw you working on it; you kept her proportions and didn't flake on detail (maybe her ear is a little low and small, but that's nitpicking at this point). Very nice. I wish you called it "breath" instead of "apnea;" not being able to breathe would cause panic (eyebrows raise, eyes wide, etc.) and she looks more at ease with being trapped inside a giant rainbow bubble...unless she's about to die, then her expression makes total sense.

Acrylic dries quickly. Also, unlike watercolors, the paint cannot be revived by water once it has dried. Once it's dried it can't be budged at all really.

I have loved your art for about 5 years now and can't believe I didn't think to look for you on here.

I don't think there's a single work of yours that I don't love.

I love this one. The body is sublime and she looks like she is inside of a bubble that was blown and she is fascinated to be inside of one as the bubble tickles her body. Almost orgasmic.

I was wondering, do you prime your canvases or paint on them raw? Your work is absolutely amazing, it always inspires me to watch your videos and look at your work. ♡

Hi : ) Amazing art, once again. I really like how you use simplicity and "messyness" together in your works, it's just stunning. I'd like to ask you how do you combine acrylics and watercolours? Do you have some sort special combination or order for it, or do you just splash them together? I've been thinking of this for a while already, and tried to look it from your video, but I wasn't really able to fo it, so I'm just going to ask now. : D

Once more: your art is amazing and it really inspires me. Thank you : )

i really love the way her skin feels and the way the water color flows over her face from the eye the purple and the blue to her hairline. The transition from the opaque to the translucent is magnificent . your paintings are always an enjoyable experience always inspirational.

Amazing. Somehow you can always grow in each painting and it's impressive the amount of emotion that comes from them.
Can you please tell me if the canvas needs any sort of preparation for watercolor or if it is just a regular canvas (made for acrylic paint) ?
Thank you so much for sharing your work.

This is truly a beautiful piece of art.  I'm not going to nitpick about size and proportions or stuff like that... What caught my attention though is that the overall theme of this piece.  "APNEA"... not being able to breathe... Seeing the shape and contours of the bubble it oddly reminded of breast implants... I'm not kidding.  I really can't place into words what I'm seeing, but for me it's more like the representation of what is perceived as the goal for beauty and perfection (in terms of the female form) and the struggle to please that perception or to go against it, and the consequences it may bring.

I know I'm not making any sense... just my 2  cents... 's all.

For some time I've really wanted to write a proper critique for your work, but this one just blows me away and leaves me unqualified for it... I'm nothing less than amazed by your ability to blend watercolors that make it seem filled with different shades and contrasts, but without ever getting clumsy or messy. One of these days I'm gonna buy a print or a painting from you... You're too good.

Someone took a copy of the exact piece and placed it through photoshop and added filters like plastic wrap and sharpened it ...
then posted into their facebook...

Kind of rude if they didn't get the proper permissions.

I guess...
because a lot of people can enhance pictures digitally to get it to look like that...
maybe that's  how they like to observe their images, as you depicted.

- my thought was that if the picture gets reposted,
the permission of the original creator should be obtained first, properly credited.

properly credited? So, credit ME for ALL ur "approximate" ideas, if you are meaning what you are saying. The fact is: I am Jesus, I came back and dont give a damn about being ACKNOWLEDGED by YOU ALL. 5 months on Earth...no one has get back to me on the matter of my very existence; and no one will.
It doesnt matter now, the WHOLE GAME has changed and I AM HERE TO STAY despite your hypocrisy, ur "LUV" u have for me. Its okay for U when I am a figment of ur Imagination...Now I am in the flesh, noone is standing before me, filled with AWE and gratitude.
I hinted at U, I said I have quantum tools.

Hinted at?

You know, it was rude the first time that the piece got reposted, all hacked... But to make claims, then claims on top of claims for the sake of some form of second hand attention based off the original work and to arrogantly try to bash others without firm foundation or proof of any sort... You are in your own strata of quantum randomness there...

The point still is: her artwork is copyrighted and that link was theft if she did not give her permission, or is properly credited, mr quantum tool.
