It all happened so quickly, everything was almost blurred. The large lynx, smiling wickedly down at Arthur with a mean glint in his eyes, lunged forward, springing from the rocks like a frog out of water, landing with a thud square onto the back of the stallion. Almost instantly the poor boy felt a searing pain course through his body, the feeling of trickling blood warm against his sides. The large predator had dug its claws in deep, snarling before taking a large chunk of his neck into its mouth, clamping its sharp fangs deep into his flesh. Arthur’s eyes narrowed within a heartbeat, the stallion breaking into action almost immediately.
Screaming with both pain and fury, Arthur reared and bucked, trying desperately to shake the cat from it’s painful perch on his back. However, the feline remained firmly where it was, the cat cackling as it freed its mouth from his neck. “This is fun pony,” it jeered, yellow eyes flashing as it dug its claws in deeper, causing Arthur to cry out. “Yes, bright red DOES look good on you!”
Infuriated, Arthur had had more than enough at this point, his vision blurred slightly as his anger took over. “ENOUGH,” he bellowed, bucking once, then twice, before slamming his back hard against the rocky cliff face the lynx was perched on mere moments before, the large cat wailing as it was sandwiched between horse and stone. Arthur could feel its grip loosen, and he pulled away in a huff, snorting loudly as he pawed the ground angrily. The lynx was obviously winded by the ordeal, it’s yellow flanks rising and falling as it tried desperately to gain its breath.
“Clever move… P-Pony, but that won’t stop me… F-From covering you h-head to toe… I-In blood,” it managed to wheeze, coughing slightly as it regained it’s composure. Arthur however, had other ideas.
“This ends now,” Arthur growled, his neck and sides smarting painfully as he turned to face the lynx. “It’s time for you to leave.” Rearing slightly, it was now Arthur’s time to be on the offensive, the large stallion lunging forward with bad intent glinting in his orange gaze. He was well and truly seeing red, and it was time for this cat to pay. The lynx’s eyes widened as Arthur lunged at him, the cat barely escaping Arthur’s teeth as he snapped at it, the cat skittering to the side before trying to make it’s escape. Arthur was not having it. The large stallion spun around and gave chase, many times almost trampling the lynx under his massive hooves.
“I told you not to mess with me,” Arthur hissed, snapping his teeth at the cat’s rump as it fled before him, it’s tail now missing small clumps of hair that Arthur had successfully yanked from him.
