Ah, good ol' Klaus. Been meaning to draw him in ages.
A proper full-bodied illustration of him and a short bio along with is next on the agenda. For now I just wanted to capture a side of him like that 'Morning Muse' art of Shaelyn not long ago. Then maybe after that, I'll draw them paired up in a single work. (Downloading the full-view is highly advised for certain details!)

Very cool mate, awesome work on the edging of his cloak (those runes?) and on his jacket, particularly the plant-like patterns on the cuffs. Also the glowy mist in the background, gives it a very mystical air.
Damn he looks serious.

Yeah, it just wouldn't be him if he weren't.
As for the edging of his cloak, it's merely a pattern. Nothing mystical. He hails from a realm that shares some nelri culture in its background, so he dresses in attire that shows that bond between their races.

I was about to say he looks much younger than I imagined, and if this was from an earlier time but then i read the name and clicked -it's Klaus not Fryen.
I miss Fryen, Rune and Jen. Fryen owened them all. Without trying. (even though I knew Rune was going to end up outgrowing his master, as it were)
Have to say I love the hair. Very realistic. ^^

I guess I should draw Fyren too someday, now that you mention it. I'd probably write him to be more badass though. There are certain things he said in the older fiction that make me cringe. XD

As for the hair, I decided to soften the red a little in it since you saw, as he's more dark-haired. Didn't want to, of course, but for character's sake...

love the sharp highlights in the lighting and the softening shadows.....like the detailing on the cloak/cape and the sword and I really like the hair! heheh

You render some gorgeous textures, man! The detail on the cloak and in the hair is just superbly done. Good color choices, too, they lend a mysterious atmosphere to the picture.

And yup, as far as OCs are, I'd consider Klaus among the more 'fleshed out' of all of them, in terms of knowing his fate in my past and future writings. Yet ironically, I've hardly drawn him at all. The only other time I had was a couple of years back for a Valentines themed work where he was paired up with Shaelyn in it. Well... alright, I guess there was another before even then, but I try to forget that. >_>;
