really looks like the other side of the crossguard should be visible above the picture's lower edge, too.

otherwise, very good portrait.

I have always been really intrigued by this character due to the fact that he had been so highly revered by both Eddard Stark and Jaime Lannister.

Sure hope in future Martin touches more on this character and the happenings at the Tower of Joy.

Such beautiful work. Love this!

The guardian of Lyanna Stark, but the question is: Why is a member of the Kingsguard keeping her?

I don't think they were protecting Lyanna, she didn't need protection. But someone else did if you run with a certain theory with Jon.

Excellent job like usual, but the sword seems a bit too different from the person.

Shouldn't it be "sir"?

I don't think so, according to the world of R.R. Marting. I was wondering the same myself. I think it's a special title they are using in this universe or something.

Now I'm curious too, have to find out :-P

You're fine, it's Martin's Westerosi version of "Sir", all the knights in the series go by "Ser".

Great job on this and all your new pieces, are there more coming?

BalduranDeArnise In reply to bananorama [2008-04-23 08:11:59 +0000 UTC]

I see.
But i'm pretty sure it's translated as "Sir" in my country ("Ser" literally means "cheese" here)

LOL, I see! Is that Poland, I'm guessing? That's probably good that they didn't put it as "Ser" in your books then.

Yeah, lots of stuff coming. I made these a looong time ago. I have batches of things waiting to be showcased, but I have to wait for product release dates because of my NDA

Too cool, I love when all the cards go up on dA, my favorite time(s) of the year. I like the theme of this new batch, and how they're splitting up the cards differently now than they used to -- I don't play the game but I love the art and its cool to follow it this way too.

The hilt works much better here than in the previous, where it seemed awfully flat. Here is dances in the light.
