Description Woo! 's request for winning the guess a number contest.

For those not familar with the name, she's from the Warcraft III series and well... lol, if you really want to know more, it would be wise to ask Sargoth for yourselves because I only remember so much. She was among the High Elves of Quel'Thalas before it was ultimately ruined by Arthas (BOO!!) and the much despised Undead. *Sniff* I really loved that place... Right next to Warhammer's High Elf Ulthuan kingdom... But... Quel'Thalas... *Cries.*

Anyhow! This artwork was inspired by a pose I remember from one of Shirow's artworks. Although the similarity only exists with the posing of the arms and the bow. Her dress design was hard to work with because Sylvanas didn't really play such a big part without the Expansion pack and there is no fanart that I'm aware of for her.

Anywayz, I hope you like. I'm really happy with how this came out.

I'm almost tempted to go back in time and CG this one too... Of course half the dang background would be refurnished in the process.

Don't face me with such saddened tools of destruction. At least be honourable and use a sword.

VERY good work, Rain - as it just so happens, I just went through the Silvermoon mission again about five minutes ago, before I signed on. o_O Doesn't Sylvanas have an exact twin/lookalike Night Elf? I remember seeing her in the last mission against Archimonde at the World Tree.....

Also, Sylvanas is significantly more bad### in Frozen Throne, where she makes an appearance as a Dark Ranger hero. That (and the ending, which I won't spoil) alone makes getting Frozen Throne worthwhile.

Also, there's one thing better than an Elf Warrior Chick - an UNDEAD Elf Warrior Chick, since we all know Scourge > *.

*stabbitys some random human peasant with a runeblade*

Well, there's a fight between Illidan and Arthas.....and then some other stuff happens.

Seriously, I'm not gonna spoil it for you - go get Frozen Throne. It's worth it.

You mean the native black-African archer chick? Yes, I used that as a base design. ^_^

Good eye! The only real similarity is that the two have similar poses, but everything else is different. I used some costume designs based off Warhammer's High Elves.

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-03-24 05:38:09 +0000 UTC]

The only reason I even noticed the similar pose was 'cause I own the book and I'm massively obsessed with it. I own the first one too. In fact Shirow is the only artist whose artbooks I own.

Heh, my bro collects them too and he's so obessive about them; that he doesn't even let me read them. I'm fortunate enough to have found some sites on the internet which had all of the Intron Depot artworks up for display. Some were scanned with pretty low quality while others were pretty awesome. Shirow is such a great inspiration.

I hear that a fourth artbook is almost finished too. Not sure what it's called.

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-03-25 00:09:39 +0000 UTC]

Shirow is the best. It was after I saw his work that I was like, that's what I wanna to do. And my dad was nice enough to buy the artbooks for me for my b-day. I still need to find the 3rd one. I had heard it was coming out but then we moved and I never found it. And now there's a 4th one.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-03-25 05:11:55 +0000 UTC]

Well the 3rd one "Ballistics" isn't too bad. I don't mind the art in it, well from what my bro managed to show me. But I think that his earlier books are a little better. In this 3rd one, they're mostly of his military/police women drawings.

Btw, have you seen his Man-Machine Interface comics? They're great.

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-03-25 05:51:11 +0000 UTC]

Oh that's a bummer, I like his fantasy stuff better then the millitary drawings. Although his mechas are pretty cool. And I'm sad to say the only comic of his I've read was Ghost in the shell. And it took me forever 'cause half way through I forgot I was suppose to be reading it and not just looking at the pics.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-03-25 06:05:48 +0000 UTC]

Heh, Shirow kinda has that way with his readers. The story if read is good, but the artwork mostly just blows it away without a second thought. There were another couple of comics, one I know of as Exion Depot. It has beautiful artwork, but no words. In a way I'm kinda glad that he does release some books that don't have writing on them. He basically said that he just left it up to the readers to decide on what the story is about, just by looking at the artwork to describe it.

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-03-25 06:11:10 +0000 UTC]

I've seen pics from Exion Depot. I so wanna look at it. I kinda like it when they don't have writing on them only cause I love looking at the drawings, but if I have to make-up my own store for the artwork it kind of a bad thing. I have a really overactive imagination.

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-03-25 07:14:58 +0000 UTC]

Heh, it's not so bad though. If you've got a good imagination, even if a wild one; it's kinda fun to make up your own stories.

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-03-29 16:05:06 +0000 UTC]

Heh, when I used to be in class back in my highschool days, I used to just get a blob of blu-tak and create things out of it, like models of people, battleships, tanks, etc; and I even created cool battlefields with little native villages being invaded by stuff.

...

Yes, I was pretty bored back then.

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-03-31 00:49:21 +0000 UTC]

Hehehe...I was always off in Lala land back in high school and it hasn't really changed now that I'm in college. I guess I just enjoy my own little world more then the real one.

That's pretty cool that you can create models. I was never any good at 3-D artwork. I hated when we had to do ceramics in art class, I was so bad at it. Pencil and paper is more to my liking.

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-03-31 04:57:49 +0000 UTC]

lol, in my art class, we seemed to waste our lives mostly on just learning about Picasso. *Sighs* I can't stand that guy. I've seen murder scenes in movies that look better than his works! I may end up working on a new model, but I'm not sure how it should go. [link] was the last time I made a model, heh and it's still somewhere in my room. I like creating battleships just as much though; like stuff from Macross, etc.

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-03-31 07:33:26 +0000 UTC]

 muder scenes *snicker* that a good one. I'll have to remember it. I never really liked Picasso either. And thankfully my art teacher leaned more towards Dali and Monet (I think that's how you spell his name, I'm a horrible spell especially with names).
You've created battleships too? That's cool. The only battleship or mecha I've done is the kind that comes in a box with detailed instuction on how to put the little plastic pieces together.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-04-01 05:52:51 +0000 UTC]

Heh, I've only got one mecha model. A High Grade model of the Tallgeese III.

But I used to collect a lot of Warhammer too. And random battleships. Right now I'm planning on buying this one Aestivalis mecha from Nadesico. It looks kick ass, plus it's a HG model too.

That's cool. I have three Gundam Wing models. I enjoyed puting them together, but it didn't take me that long even with the instruction in Japanese. Which was kind of a bummer.

Oh, sorry it took so long to write back, I've been kinda busy and haven't been able to get online.

But I perfered its green version in the Endless Waltz movie.

And no need to apologise. I understand.

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-04-06 05:17:07 +0000 UTC]

Shenlong was my second favorite too. Wing Zero was my first favorite and I really wanted a wing model but they didn't have one at Comic shop I bought them at.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-04-06 06:42:09 +0000 UTC]

Heh, you should feel lucky enough to be able to buy those sorts of things at a nearby shop. Here where I live, the nearest place to buy anything like a Gundam model is like over 600kms away. If I ever want anything, I have to order from down south. But that is a habit I haven't got used to yet. But I will. And it'll rob me of all my money.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-04-06 07:50:36 +0000 UTC]

Actually, having the comic shop and the book store so close is a bad thing. I wind up spending too much money at one place or the the other. And before I moved, I use to live in a place that had nothing, so I know how you feel. It totally sucked. Though, I can't say I'm living in a much better place.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-04-06 13:57:42 +0000 UTC]

True, plus I'd rather much perfer to be where I am now. No pollution, nice clean air; a sea breeze from time to time. Yep, I'd perfer this than having to be stuck in some city. It just doesn't appeal to me. Even though there is much that I'd like to buy. I guess I'm lucky to be out in the country; far from all of those temptations...yes... >_>;;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-04-08 07:40:06 +0000 UTC]

yeah, I didn't really care for cities, they're fun to vist but I wouldn't want to live in one. That's why I like live. I can just walk outside and get lost in the woods. I miss the ocean though, first time I'm living somewhere that the ocean isn't even close to me. But I have lots of mountains, so it's all good.

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-04-08 11:01:32 +0000 UTC]

The ocean rocks. Unless if you live in a rain forest. They're equal in my books.

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-04-09 02:58:56 +0000 UTC]

I love the ocean, even if it's too cold for me to swim in. But since I don't live anywhere near the ocean I'll settle with the mountains. As long as I have one or the other (ocean or mountains) I'm a happy camper.

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-04-09 05:24:42 +0000 UTC]

Heh, the ocean near where I live is great. But lately it's been home to a lot of deadly jellyfish, and I can't stand those buggers. I need to get around to going over to the island not far from the harbour. Their beaches are cyrstal clear, beautiful.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-04-09 05:29:09 +0000 UTC]

Sound wonderful. The only time I get to see the ocean is when I go home to see my parents, but the beaches there are always crowded.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-04-09 05:32:09 +0000 UTC]

Heh, not here. That's why it's always nice to live only near a quiet town.

On the holidays, it does get busy on the main beach. But I don't go there anyway. There's another stretch of beach 5 kms away from it, and it's a lot less crowded.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-04-13 05:55:41 +0000 UTC]

Hehehe, well my towns quiet, it just doesn't have a beach. Got plunty of trees though. And summers up here a bad. We get a lot of tourist, that can't drive and have no clue where they're going.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Aikurisu In reply to Gin-Shouri [2004-04-13 07:01:02 +0000 UTC]

Heh, tourists... Luckily I'm out on a small farm, so the tourists never come out this far to ask for directions. lol, the local drivers are bad enough though. >_>

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Gin-Shouri In reply to Aikurisu [2004-04-13 07:08:57 +0000 UTC]

I hate tourists, hate 'em. And living close to a state park doesn't help. But it's only bad in the summer and early fall. No one in their right mind comes to Alaska in the winter time which last a good 6 months. Well a few do come in the winter time but thankfully they don't stay long.
