Fly...Please Teach Me...

Before I knew you I had wings.

Ever feel internally torn before? That's what this piece is about, and the composition mirrors it. I am currently saying goodbye to someone I care about, but I know it will turn out good in the end.

I consider myself a fantasy artist, and I feel that it is my responsibility as one to keep advancing with my imagination. It is extremely rewarding when you accomplish a new angle or perspective by tying in emotions.

I love working with blacks and whites-ink is a great way combined with pencil to do that-it almost makes a silvery/metallic look, though the scanner doesn't show it ^^

Really beautiful! I love the tears and blood and how it clings to itself and drags behind. Your hair is always so beautiful! The mix of ink an pencil work goes really well together. Great work

Ink always gives that awesome contrast with graphite, and almost makes it look metallic. The scanner doesn't pick that part up but I still love how these pics turn out-working on another one at the moment!

My Goddess! This art piece is just simply beautiful! There is no other word that can define what this expresses!

The intricate weaving of the hair and the dark tears(blood perhaps) mixed in with him holding the feathers...just UGH! I this art piece!

Yes, the BLOOD! I've got black blood in multiple pictures in my gallery-I love the contrast against the skin.

This is a fantasically expressive piece. I love how the dark of the blood contrasts aginst everything else and draws you down to the feathers he has in his hand.

It was really expressive for me-I loved working on this picture. Yes contrast! I was working on improving my contrast at that point in my life. There was a lot of contrast in my life-so I think it helped me artistically in the long run.

This is probably my favorite drawing in my gallery at the moment-it's so expressive! I was going through some hard times when this was worked out onto paper. The black tears represent a cleansing.
